The Thief - A new case

Shuichi was running across the roof tops, the small man in front of him so close yet so far away. "Come get me if you can Shumai.~" Shuichi blushed at the nickname then snapped back into focus. Why did this case out of all cases have to be so annoying! He'd faced plenty of thief's before yet this idiot had to be so cunning, so mischievous, and yet so.... Amazing.

How did poor Shuichi get into this situation? Well Shuichi here is the famous detective. He accepted this case since he thought it would be fine and like any other. He got payed for doing the thing he loved most doing, whats wrong with that? This 'idiot' had taken him by surprise. No case could have been any harder but this. Little did he know this case would Change his life.

Shuichi was startled by his alarm clock. It was always loud and annoying, the thing he hated most (besides people looking at him angrily) in this treacherous world.
Shuichi lived a simple life. He had a stable job, He lived in Tokyo and lived in a nice apartment near his work. He wouldn't change anything about it. He worked at a detective agency with his boss Kyoto.

Kyoto was someone he had always looked up to. She used to be just like him, as she put it. Curious, Wide eyed... Single. Kyoto often liked to brag about her girlfriend Celestia at work. Celestia had been a gambler before and used to be a criminal. Somehow Kyoto ended up falling in love with her, He didn't understand why since all of the criminals he met were very unattractive. (He wouldn't tell Kyoto but he didn't think Celestia looked that good either) But overall he did love Kyoto, she was like a big brother to him.

Shuichi was already famous even at his young age of 24, He had solved cases even people who were in the higher ranks couldn't solve. He was already a millionaire but he didn't really care about the money. He mostly cared about the thrill of solving cases. How sometimes the times he solved a case were in his dreams. He was healthy, Happy, what more could he need?

Shuichi got up and headed to the bathroom, He looked at his hair. Which he noticed was.... Sticking up in multiple directions. He grumbled to himself and carefully combed threw it until every lock was in its place. He picked out his normal outfit and had a bowl of cereal. He was about to head out of the house when he realized he didn't have his hat. He loved his hat more than anything else.

The first time he had a case, when the criminal was arrested the criminal looked at him menacingly. It scared the Witt's out of him and once his father saw how much it hurt Shuichi he gave Shuichi the hat. His father had sadly died a year after but he knew that his father would be proud of where he had come.

Shuichi found the hat and put it on himself. He walked out of the house and was excited to see that his favorite bakery had just released a new pasty, he made a mental note to go after work and try it out. Feeling happier than before he walked with a smile on his face.

When he got to the detective agency. Kaito was waiting outside for him. Kaito was his best friend, or as he put it he was his 'sidekick'. Kaito wasn't anything in the Detective business, on the contrast he owned a company called 'Looking At the Stars' it was a space program where he teaches young astronauts in training how to become an astronaut. Today was his day off and whenever it was his day off he came to the detective agency, with his wife Maki. Maki was brilliant, she was violent yet composed. She was the head assassin here and even though she was a.... Bit intimidating she was nice once you knew her.

"Hey sidekick! How are you?"
"Great! My favorite bakery just came up with a new pastry and im excited to go eat it this afternoon."
"Thats great sidekick!!!! Lets go inside, Maki roll is waiting!"

Shuichi went inside and was greeted with an excited kyoto.

"SHUICHI! THERES A NEW CASE I WANT YOU TO LOOK AT!"

Shuichi was startled by Kyotos enthusiasm, she was usually calm. Unless she had a really good case. His eyes lit up, "Oh what is it!"

"Come to my office ill talk to you about it there, in private."

She glanced at Kaito with a distrusting look, He knew too much about this place she didnt trust him.

"Bye kaito!"

Kaito pulled Shuichi into the manliest hug ever, being the mega chad he was.

Shuichi walked towards Kyotos room but was greeted by many people, he wasn't the most social type but everyone seemed to find him likeable so he neared through it. He finally walked towards Kyoto's room and was greeted with Kyoto and Celestia making out. He was used to there bullshit so he coughed and they both looked up.

"Hi Shuichi!"
"Hey Celestia!"
"Celeste we have some stuff to talk about, ill see you later!"

Kyoto kissed Celestia again and Celestia gave him a dollar, Everytime Shuichi witnessed them kissing he was owed a dollar. They put that rule in place when they were all drunk but it kinda just stuck.

"Nope Celestia you owe me another dollar too"

She sighed and left

Shuichi sat down and Kyoto went back to her calm self.

"I have a new case for you, Theres a new thief who has managed to evade all other detectives eyes, He calls himself 'the phantom thief' of course theres also another case about a burgular but we both know which one will be more thrilling."

Shuichi gazed at kyoto, a sly grin appears on his face.

"Is that even a question? Ill take the case."

Heyyyyyy- this is my first fan fic I've ever written so please bare with me while I make the maximum amount of spelling mistakes and Kaito being a mega chad. /J
