Chapter 3: Siblings

"Hey Yuki, Kanae, other girl, you girls are really pretty you know?" Douma said, still fading into ashes. "I don't have a heart anymore, but I feel it beating. Is this what people call love? So this feeling really exists, huh? So does heaven and hell exist, too?"
I glance back at Douma, quite disgusted. "Yes it does! Now go away!" I said with a happy expression.
"...Guess I'm going to hell, then..."
I suddenly felt sympathy for him. 'He accepted his own death...No wait, he's killed many," I shook my head.

I had saved and killed an Uppermoon today.

Chapter 3: Siblings

3rd POV:

"I see, this is great. The first swordsmen in around 95 years to have defeated an Uppermoon!" Ubuyashiki said, Amane by his side. "Good job, Kanae, Obanai, and Yuki!"

"Nee-san! You're okay! Your crow said you were against Uppermoon Two and I was extremely worried!" the girl said.
"Ara ara, Shinobu! I'm ok, see? Oh right..." Kanae walked up to Yuki. "You got a wound from Douma, didn't you?"
"No, it's was my breathing form. I had to get hit in order to use it, it was me controlling him while you were cutting off his neck. No injuries," Yuki explained.
"Oh, I see! Very useful ability!" Kanae mused. "No injuries on you either, Iguro-san?" she asked, turning to Obanai.
"No."
"Alright! Good to hear! See you at the next Hashira meeting then!" Kanae said to Obanai, then walking away with her sister, whose name was Shinobu.

When the Kochou sisters left, a wide smile was on Yuki's face. "We defeated Uppermoon Two! The third strongest demon!"
"Yeah, we did. I guess I'll have to trust you more," Obanai said.
"Woah, really?" Yuki's eyes sparkled.
"Yeah...Don't get hurt though." Obanai looked away.
"Of course! Let's go! I'm hungry!"
Obanai chuckled. "Alright, let's go."

Sorry I need to put a note here. Kanae is the same age as Obanai, at 21 years old. Currently in the story, she is 17, the age that she died at, making Yuki 10. 11 at the next meeting because there's an annual and semi-annual.

-The annual Hashira Meeting-
"We've reached our semiannual Hashira meeting, and yes Kanae, I've received your letter, and the news," Oyakata-sama said.
"News? Is it flamboyant?" Tengen immediately asked.
"I guess you could say that, Tengen. Kanae ran into Uppermoon Two," Oyakata-sama said, leaving the Hashiras hanging.
"Uppermoon Two?!" Sanemi exclaimed. "Kanae, are you ok?"
"Yes guys, I'm fine, as you can tell!" Kanae said modestly.
"Kanae was having a bit of trouble keeping up after a bit." Oyakata-sama said, leaving the Hashiras, except Obanai hanging on the cliff. (Cliffhanger, y'know)
"Are you sure you're ok?!" Sanemi exclaimed. Kanae just nodded with a smile on her face.
"Iguro Yuki came to her rescue." Oyakata-sama continued.

All the Hashira immediately turned to Obanai.
"Iguro Yuki? You never told us you had a sibling," Tengen said.
"I don't talk with you guys as much, also, you never asked," Obanai replied.
"Iguro Yuki is indeed the sister of Obanai, and she is quite powerful, despite her being a Hinoto at the time she was fighting Uppermoon Two."
"HINOTO?!" Tengen and Sanemi exclaimed in shock. Giyu, Shinjuro and Kanae stayed quiet but they were definitely shocked as well. 
"She was a Hinoto at that time? She's so strong!" Kanae said.
"Indeed. Yuki has a very unique breathing style, that allows her to fight on the sidelines while she can be as powerful as someone on the frontlines. She was able to control Uppermoon Two, allowing Kanae to cut his head off, with the help of Obanai," Oyakata-sama finished.
Tengen felt his jaw hit the ground. Sanemi, Giyu and Shinjuro looked shocked, Kanae a little less shocked, while Gyoumei was still crying, and Obanai had the same expression from before.
