I woke up to four texts from my boyfriend, Walker Hayes. He told me, "Good morning" and kept asking if we could hang out today. I replied telling him not today because I'm getting a case and a partner. I haven't had a partner for a case in a few months so I'm really excited.

I opened my huge window and kept the white curtains open. I walked over to my walk-in closet and grabbed my police uniform. I put it on in my closet, as normal, and began to brush my tangled hair. After I got all the knots out, I went to brush my teeth, do some quick skin care, and a little bit of makeup. I hurried to my room and grabbed my light brown purse and phone. I rushed down the stairs, grabbed a tiny bag of foot loops, turned off the lights, and locked the front door. When I turned around, I didn't expect to see Walker standing right behind me.

"Uhm. Hi Walker," I say as I shut my screen door.

"Hey, Vivienne," he smiles.

"Why are you here?" I blurt out, "You know I start work at," I check my black watch, "7:30am."

"I know. I just wanted to see if you wanted me to drive you there," he says, making eye contact.

"You drove 15 minutes to my house, just to ask me that?" I question as I walk to my car.

"Exactly," he answered.

"Well, you know I have my own car. Anyway, I have to go. I'll text you later," I look at my watch again, and it's 7:00am, "bye, love you,"

"Bye, love you too," he says as I drive away slowly.

I drove for 20 minutes to get to the police station, where I work. Unfortunately, I kept needing to stop at red lights. When I finally got to the red and blue police station, it was 7:26am. I rush inside the double doors and quickly go to my medium sized office. As soon as I sat everything down on my light brown desk, I get called up to my boss's office. When I enter his large office, I see a very beautiful girl sitting in one of the black chairs. From behind her, I can see that she has dark brown hair and her uniform on.

"Oh, there you are, Vivienne," Mr. Lynn says, looking up, "please, have a seat."

"Okay, sir," I say as I sit on the comfy, black chair next to the girl.

"This is Azora. She will be your partner," he smiled.

"Oh, nice to meet you, Azora!" I say while smiling.

"Uhm, nice to you too, Vivienne," she looked away.

After we had that little conversation, I went back to my office and thought about everything that had just happened. I then thought about how hard it would be to make Azora like me more. I just want us to be friends so this case can go smoothly.
