It did not take long for Ric and Jeremy to find them. They went to the lake house since it would have been awkward after what happened in the tunnels.
Elena was a mess, her hair was almost pulled out cause of the clenching with her long nails.
It has been forever since the girls went to a salon.
She was sitting by the couch with her palms on her cheeks. Ric was taking a drink for the first time in ages while Jeremy was staring out the window.
The doppelgänger's phone kept on vibrating from the table, Ric taking one glance at it from his distance and the vampire sighting helped him read Damon.
"Bonnie's pregnant," Elena muttered while staring in to nothing, "how is it yours when you were dead?"
Ric turned to the vampire hunter for answers. He should have stuck by him in the other side but Jeremy wanted his space even in death, so he had no idea what he was up to.
Jeremy sighed. "I don't want to talk about it."
Elena narrowed her eyes as she stood up. "Bonnie is graduation high school tomorrow and not to mention you still being seventeen."
"And not forgetting me being dead," he added.
"This is not funny," she hissed.
"Do you see me laughing?"
Ric chuckled.
"Jeremy," she approached him and tried to cup his cheek but the boy took a step back.
"When Bonnie lost her Grams, did she go around trying to kill Damon, Stefan...or you?"
Alaric's jar dropped. "Jeremy, now isn't the time."
The boy busted out of laughter scaring them both. "Meaning, I should cut out hurting Elena's feelings, which is funny considering the fact that I am dead right now due to those feelings. Or should I say her selfishness?"
"Jeremy!" Elena exclaimed.
"I'm out of here," he through his hand in the before heading for the door, slamming it shut after exiting.
The silence only lasted for a while before the doppelgänger collapsed back to the couch and weped in her hands.
"Give him time," Alaric suggested without moving from his spot by the wet bar.
"How could he speak to me like that," Ric's eyes popped, that wasn't what he meant, "even Caroline!"
"Well," he moved towards her with his hand in his chinos pockets, "a lot of magic had been in the air tonight, more especially expression," he placed himself next to her. "Makes a lot of sense why emotions are pretty high tonight."
Elena nodded as she digested the information, realizing that it was the only thing that can explain what had happened to her that night. "Makes sense, I will give them both time to get it together."
"That's my girl," he smiled at her as Elena met his gaze, using his hands to wipe away the tears from her face. "Come here," he opened up his arms as he hugged her, the doppelgänger placing her arms his neck. "You should probably go lie down, maybe take a long nap while at it."
She nodded before letting him go, heading straight to the bedroom without saying more.

"She did it," the woman said.
"It matters not," the man said, "for you have failed your brother."
