2 weeks after the trip was the imperial scholars meeting
Anya walked into the Imperial scholars hall, she was accustomed to attending these prestigious meetings but today she felt extremely nervous
Today, Loid was going to make his second contact with Donavon Desmond after his first meeting 9 years ago, yes the mission was progressing very slowly but he was finally getting somewhere and he had Anya to thank.
Since Anya was already dating The second son, his father meeting her father wasn't suspicious it's something that normally should happen when two people start dating right?
She glanced around the hall for Damian, who was stood beside the food table, alone
'Where is the Target!?!' Anya thought staring at her boyfriend with concern
Becky ran up Anya and Loid excitedly At the sight of Loid "hey Anya" she greeted Anya "Hello Loidy" she said sweetly
"Good Evening, Blackbell" He replied smiling at the girl warmly
'He is so beautiful' Becky thought smiling giddily
Damian walked over to them
"Oh Hey Damian, alone again" Becky said
He ignored her, turning to Loid
"Mr Forger, good evening"
'Gotta make a good impression' Damian thought, his calmest face possible
"Damian, good evening to you too" Loid smiled at his targets son
'Anya said that he made up with his father? But he doesn't seem to be here, Damian also never greets me this is a first' he thought
The situation felt personal, "I'm gonna... go get a drink" Becky slipped away from the group
'Until we meet again my sweet Loid' she thought
'Now to deal with whatever this is' Anya thought turning back to Loid and Damian
"So Desmond, you have been quite close to My daughter recently" Loid spoke while maintaining his smile
"Yeah... I realised that My hate towards her was... something else entirely" He replied
"Oh what could that be?" Loid asked calmly, his fatherly emotions could not come out at such at crucial moment, his mission was relying on this moment
He didn't hesitate and replied with "Admiration"
'Wait.. we are telling him now??!?' Anya thought
"So Anya you and Damian are?" Loid's smile was starting to look very maniacal
"Dating" she said looking her father in the eyes
He chuckled "yeah i already knew that"
Damian and Anya look at him puzzled
The Anya realised "yeah.. he saw us walking home, after the library"
"You said he was at wor-" Damian tried to say before Anya yanked his arm
"I Lied, I wanted to be alone with you" she whispered causing him to blush
Now it was Loid's turn to give them a confused look
'I'm so relieved, Anya you just made my mission so much easier, now to get a hold of Donovan' Loid thought
"Are Your parents aware of this Damian?" Loid asked, smoothly bringing Donovan into the conversation
'Woah, Nice papa' Anya thought smiling excitedly
"My father.. seems to be running late"Damian says a sudden wave of sadness
Loid placed a hand on Damian's shoulder "Don't you worry, son, your like family to us now" Loid said reassuring him
