The very next day, John and his father are getting ready to leave for London. Tarzana stands on the beach, arm wrapped from her wound, with them to see them off. Porter is in the boat with the captain as John says goodbye to Tarzana.
John: London will seem so small compared to all this.
Tarzana raises her hand to touch his face speaking to him softly with love.
Tarzana: I will miss you, John.
The ships horn blares as he tries to find the words to say.
Gerald: Mister Porter!
John: I-I know, I'm coming. (He sighs in defeat unsure what he should do.) Well, I suppose we should say goodbye.
John sticks out his hand for Tarzana to shake only for her to reach out and place her hand against his like she did when they first met. Her voice strained as she speaks up.
Tarzana: Goodbye
Conflicted John runs to join his father and the captain on the boat. Tarzana still has her arm out as if reaching for John as a tear slides down her face. She sits on the beach watching them go.
Porter waves to Tarzana as a farewell.
Porter: Goodbye, Tarzana! Goodbye. Oh, I'm going to miss that girl.
He moves from the back end of the boat and sits in front of his son. He notices his son is mournful and touching his hand. John puts his glove on the hand that last touched Tarzana. He stares at it longingly before his father places his hand over his. Porter then cups his son's hand in both of his.
Porter: John, dear. I can't help feeling that you should stay.
Having "made up" his mind, John reiterates to his father his decision. He nervously attempts to place his other glove on his hand.
John: Father, please don't. We've been through all this. I couldn't possibly st...I-I belong in England with you, with people, and...aah!
John's glove is blown off his hand and back towards the beach where Tarzana is at. The glove lands on the water in front of her. She picks it up recognizing it to be John's. She stares after him longingly as she holds the glove close to her heart.
Porter: But you love her. (John turns back to look at his father for approval.) Go on.
A huge smile graces John face as he happily hugs his father. Porter chuckles as he remembers what it was like to be young and in love. John jumps off the boat and swims back to Tarzana. Upon nearing her he stands up and tackles her into the water. Then throwing all decorum aside he kisses her passionately on the lips. Tarzana's eyes go wide because of the action. After a moment, John comes back to common sense and backs off sheepishly while Tarzana looks at him lovingly.
John: Oh! (He laughs and chuckles at his forwardness. In a daze Tarzana hands John his glove. She then reaches a hand to where John kissed her as a grin spreads across her face.) Um...thank you. Thanks for getting my glove. Thank you... (Tarzana then places a hand to his face gently caressing it before she pulls him closer to her kissing him. John kisses her back until they both pull away. John clears his throat after noticing Tarzana's whole family on the beach watching.)
The jungle animals are looking at the human couple knowingly. Terk smirks at them while Tantor smiles happy for them reuniting. The two then start heading towards Tarzana's family. Porter watches from the boat cheerful that his son was able to find love.
Porter: Well... (He laughs as an idea comes to his mind.) what...what am I doing? (He turns to Gerald.) Captain? Tell them that you never found us, eh? After all, people get lost in the jungle every day. (He undoes his tie.) Right? Tootle-pip!
With that said, Porter cannonballs into the water himself.
Kala comes forward to her daughter and mate and holds her hand out to John. John takes her hand causing Kala to smile. She leads John further into the clan of gorillas with Tarzana walking beside him. An ear splitting grin on her face. John then clears his throat and recites the sentence that Tarzana taught him in gorilla.
John: Ooh-ooh-ee-eh-ooh.
All of Tarzana's friends and family cheer at John's declaration. Tantor comes up behind Tarzana and places her on his back. She smiles as she holds a hand out to John to help him get on top of Tantor. He gladly takes the offered hand.

Later Tarzana is helping John swing through the vines. He now wears his own jungle loincloth like Tarzana. They swing onto a tree branch before surfing down it together arm in arm. John jumps from the branch as it curves upward. Tarzana grabs a vine and swings to catch him. They both see flowers hanging down and grab them before Tarzana lets go of the vine and they tree surf again. Kala is seen near the branch they are surfing on. As the branch curves by her mother, Tarzana hands her the flowers in her hand before placing a quick kiss on her forehead. John hands Kala his flowers as well before they continue sliding down the tree branch. When they get to the end of the branch Tarzana places Johns hands firmly around her waist before jumping onto a vine. They swing as John holds tight with Porter coming by them in his own vine and loincloth. Tarzana smiles up at Porter happy to see his new family adjusting to life with her. She then let's go of the vine dropping down on a new branch to tree surf. The two pass by Terk who tries to show off her own tree surfing skills. She trips and falls landing on Tantor's back. Tarzana chuckles at her cousin's effort. The two then jump from the branch into Tantor's trunk who shoots them to a new vine.)

Eventually they land on a huge tree root that overlooks the whole jungle. Tarzana gives a great jungle holler while pounding her chest.
