Compromise

I wait for Lou's open  his eyes again, the images of seeing his lifeless body on the bath room floor are haunting my vision.
I feel  a twitch of his fingers  in the hand  that I am holding, signalling that he is slowly waking up.
I watch as he slowly starts to wake , feeling his body moving slightly on the bed.
" Lou , baby I am here" I say rubbing my other hand across his face, I see the corners of his mouth start to turn up into a smile,  as he slowly turns his head tomorrow me.
" Hazza" he said, his voice is all croaky from not talking in a while.
" Hi baby, how are you feeling?".
He stays quite for a minute, I can see him thinking and I give him the time to answer.
" My head is a little sore , but I don't feel sick anymore, or have a headache".
" That's great baby , I will call Liam and let's see if we can remove that IV and get you out of here"
" I like the sound of that" A smile lights up his face.
Liam enters the room in that instance and makes his way over to his side.
" Great to see you awake , how are you feeling?".
" Lou and I were just having this conversation, his head is a bit sore but he doesn't feel sick anymore or have a headache, we were hoping you would let him out".
Liam looks down at Lou with a smile .
" Glad  to hear you are feeling better , let me just take check your blood pressure and if that is all good , I will let you up, how does that sound".
" Great " I watch Lou give Liam his biggest grin.
I watch as Liam does everything he has to , then I slowly help Lou up.
" Just go slowly, you might feel a little dizzy to start with" Liam saids coming to the other side of Him.
We make our way slowly to the lounge room were I get Lou comfortable on the lounge.
" You  ok?".
" Yeah".
" Hey you ok kid" Niall asks walking over to us , ruffling Lou's hair.
" Yes  Nialler" Lou saids so sweetly.
All the other boys gather around happy to  see Lou nearly back to this old self.
" Baby can we ask you a few questions about what happened?".
" Yeah  sure,  but I don't really remember much".
" Did  anything happen during the day which made you feel uncomfortable?, or you thought was strange, did you notice anyone following you?".
" No not that I can think off, Usually I have Shawn with me, so being on my own was not normal, Shawn is in most of my classes , so he is always with me".
" Ok was their anyone different in your classes, or someone hanging around that you noticed that is not usually their" Zayn asks .
" No not that I noticed, but their was this one guy that I bumped into when I was walking to class" .
" That  was the one Greg rang you about" I hear Liam say to  me and I know what is going to be coming next.
" Who  is Greg?" Lou asks " And how does he know that happened?".
I stay quiet and look at the boys who have a worried look on their faces.
" Harry" Lou is looking at with a serious look on his face, his arms are crossed and I know what is going to happen next.
" You know that I love you baby and I only want the best for you, and letting you go to University was hard for me knowing that you would be out in the world without me by your side to keep you safe" I don't get to say the next few words as Lou interprets me.
" You  didn't Harry , have you had someone watching me this whole time, seriously" .
" Well  baby".
" Don't  well baby me, you have had someone following me this hold time?".
" Well  yes they".
" They as in more then one?" his face  has now gone red with anger.
" Yes  , you have two body guards that are with you every time you leave the house".
" For  fuck sake Harry, this whole time I thought finally you were letting me have a bit of freedom and the whole time you have been controlling my every move".
" Well  when you put it like that".
" I am so angry right now" His eyes meet mine and all I see is betrayal.
" You  know Lou he only did it because he loves you and wants to keep you safe, we all do" Zayn's speaks in my defence.
" Yeah Lou" Niall and Liam chime in.
" Well they mustn't be very good body guards, if I managed to get knock out".
" Well  they are better than the first lot I had watching you" I said without thinking .
"Really  Harry , this is the second lot I can't fucking believe this".
" Ummm yeah, only the best for my baby".
" What  did the first lot do wrong?".he asked in the next sentence.
" On your first day when you got knocked over and fell to the ground, they were fucking useless"
I see Lou's nod his head with a slight smirk appearing on his face, I know he is trying to stay angry at me but really can't.
" Ok back to the first question, the guy that bumped into me, Hazza there was just something not right about him, he seem familiar to me but I can't say where I know him from, and his eyes they were just like mine, I tried to talk to him but he disappeared before I could, I have just got this bad gut feeling something just wasn't right about him".
" Ok , that's good baby, that gives us something to go on" I turn to Zayn .
" Bet  Greg and Nick to look through the footage again to see they can get a clear shot of this guy, ask them what he looked like and let's go from there , I don't think it was a coincident that Lou got knocked over then knocked out".
" Boss I definitely think the two things are  related, they have to be".
I watch on as Zayn and Niall leave the room, I turn to Lou with a sheepish grin.
" Am I forgiven baby?" I say meeting his is eyes.
" I can't believe you put two guards on me , but I understand why" he saids.
" You know I love you with everything I have, and to think of my life with out you in it is  just Indescribable, without you I have no life".
He reaches over and attaches his lips to mine, " I love you to and my life would be nothing without you" he saids breaking the kiss.
I pull Lou into my side and just enjoy holding him in my arms.
After a awhile Zayn comes into the room, looking over to see Lou asleep in my arms.
" How  is he?".
" He is good, just tired, nothing will keep my baby down for too long".
" Boss, I need to show the footage from the surveillance cameras".
" Can it wait?".
" I don't think so" Zayn saids to me, which I know must be something he is worried about otherwise he won't bother me.
I roll Lou off my body and onto the lounge, covering him with a blanket, he mumbles something which I don't quite catch.
I walk into the office with Zayn to find the other boys all looking at a Monitor.
" We have looked through a lot of footage and we keep seeing the same person near or around Lou a number of times" Zayn  points to the monitor. " see here and here and over there".
I look closely at the monitor noticing the same person in the captured images.
" Are there any that show his face".
" No not one, he keeps himself hidden really well with his hoodie always covering his face, the only person that has seen him up close is Lou" Niall saids .
I turn to Greg and Nick who are in the room as well.
" Did one of you guys get a look at his face?"
" No boss" They both say together.
" Did one of you follow him?" I asked next.
" No Boss".
" Why  the fuck not?" I yell into their faces.
"  We mm thought it was just Lou bumping into someone, we didn't think it was anything serious".
" When  it comes to Lou everything is serious, if someone sneezes near him I want to know who it is, that is the job I pay you for".
" Yes Boss, sorry Boss".
" This is your only warning, if you fuck up again, you are not going to like the consequences, you are lucky I like you both , otherwise you would be dealt with the same as the first two, don't fuck this up"
" Yes  Boss".
" Now  leave and do your fucking job".
" Boss, I think we need to take this seriously, obviously this person has some kind of interest in Lou"
" I want security stepped up , where ever he goes we need to get on top of this ,  I will ask Lou if he remembers anything about his facial features, something that might help us work out who he is" .
" Hazza" I hear and look up seeing Lou standing in the door way, rubbing his eye with one of his hands , and my heart melts a little bit, I open my arms and he walks over climbing onto my lap.
" I woke up and you were gone" he saids looking up at my face.
" Sorry  baby , I had work to do" I say kissing his fore head.
" Lou" Zayn saids walking over
" Do you think you can remember anything about the guy that bumped into you, anything at all".
" Not really , all I remember is as I looked up  and he looked familiar , like I had seen him somewhere before, I can't explain it, his eyes are like mine".
" What do you mean?" .
" His eyes are exactly like mine, some colour,  same shape, it was weird now I think of it".
" Do you remember what colour his hair was?".
" No he had a hoodie on kind of covering his face".
Lou turns to me.
" Do you think he is the guy who hit me in the bathroom?".
"Maybe baby , it is something we are looking into".
" Am I still allowed to go to University".
" I know it means a lot to you , and I don't want to take it away from you, so you can still go but you will have extra guards".
" Harry, really?".
" It's  that or nothing baby".
" How many?".
" Six" I say.
" Fuck no way, I don't need six guards, that is fucking ridiculous Harry, how about three".
" No five end of".
" Come  on Harry, what about four?".
" I don't know baby".
" Come  on Harry , I will do four".
" Ok four it is" I say with a smirk on my face, I meet the boys eyes over Lou's head and they were all smirking  at me knowing it work exactly how I wanted it to, it was always going to be four but I had to make out that it was Lou's decision in the end, so I wouldn't get to much sass.
" When can I go back?" Lou's asked .
I look to Liam who has the final say.
" Another  day of rest Lou , then you can go back".
" Ok"Lou agrees .
I hear a phone chime signalling a message, I look at my phone and nothing , I look to the boys but they  shake there heads they have nothing either.
" Lou is that your phone" I ask as he takes his phone out of his pocket.
" Who  is it?"I ask with Curiosity.
I see a smile light up his face.
" It's Shawn  , he just heard what happened and wants to know if I am ok".
" That's  great baby, why don't you invite him over".
Lou looks at me with wide eyes.
" Really , I can like can I invite him over like now?".
" Absolutely baby, this is your home and your friends are welcome here, I approve of him, I have to go and take care of some business which might take a while , knowing you will have company will make me happy".
" Thanks Hazza" he places a kiss on my lips  before he walks out the door talking to Shawn on the phone.
I turn to Zayn " ready to go , let's get this over with" I say as we walk out the door heading to our Job.
  When Zayn and I  arrive back and walk into the kitchen hearing laughter and conversation and yelling , I stop in the door way and watch as Lou, Shawn ,Liam and Niall are all sitting around the giant TV playing fifi , Niall and Shawn  holding the two controllers.
" I win" I hear Shawn call out .
" No way, no one has ever beat me at fifi , you play well" Niall saids.
I give a little cough making Zayn and Mine presence known.
" Hazza" Lou yells out and jumps of the lounge and runs over to me jumping into my arms , wrapping his legs and arms around me.
" Did you miss me baby?".
" I will always miss you when you are not with me"
I make my way over to the lounge with Lou stuck to me like a monkey and sit down , I notice Shawn   looking at me unsure.
" Hi Shawn  welcome to our home, and thank you for keeping my boy company why I was otherwise occupied"
" Thank you Mr Styles" His voice laden with tension.
" Shawn "
" Yes Mr Styles"
" You can call me Harry" I say hoping this will make him less nervous.
" Thank you Mr, I mean Harry"
" Ok I am going to go and start dinner" we watch Niall get up and leave the room.
" Hazza, can Shawn  stays  for dinner?".
" Of course baby , if he would like to".
I see Shawn nod his head as he turns to Lou.
" Is it ok if I go and help Niall cook dinner, I love cooking" he asks Lou , I notice his face heats up with a blush.
" Sure Niall would love that".
I watch as Shawn  leaves the room and goes to join Niall in the kitchen.
I turn to Louis.
" I think someone might have a small crush" I say to Lou who looks at me with wide eyes.
" You  mean Shawn and Niall?" he saids " no".
" Yes  baby, just wait and see".
I place a kiss on his lips as we wait for dinner to be ready.
