Ford didn't know what to do. He paced and paced and paced. When ever he would sit down his leg would jiggle, and his thoughts would travel to her. To her face. To her smile.

He was like an addict. She wasn't at home, but he assumed she was fine. When hours turned to days, his gut shifted with fear. He had to find her.

"Grunkle Ford." A hand rested on his shoulder. Ford looked over quickly before settling down his racing mind.

"Yes, Dipper?" The man ran his finger through his tattered hair, Causing a deep sigh to come from his mouth.

"I found something on the gift shop camera feed."

"Really? What is it?"

"It was hard to make out, but with a bit of editing, I could see that it was Y/n."

"Show it to me."

Dipper nodded, as Ford stood up. He led his Grunkle to the living room, where Dipper had a small laptop set up on the couch. The boy sat down and typed away as Ford to his side.

The edited footage came up, showing the moments just before you parted. Ford and watched you as you stepped into the forest, and slightly before you got out of view, you looked over and a hand picked you up dragging you into the forest. The room was filled with your cries for help as you traveled deeper into the in woodland.

"She was taken? I should of been there for her. I could have walked her home- ugh, I'm such an idiot!"

"Do you have any idea who could have taken her?" Dipper asked.

"I know exactly who. While underground we came across these tall pine like creatures, and named tree giants accordingly. Y/n had a mix up with one of their kind. They seem very spiteful, unable to let go. And I'm afraid Y/n was just taken by them. Luckily I know where the den is."

Ford got up from the couch. The man sighed once more and looked around.

"Could you ask Stan and Mable if they want to help us?"

"What about me Grunkle Ford?"

"About what?"

"Shouldn't I come too?"

"I thought it was a given? You are my apprentice aren't you? Unofficial with no strings attached, of course."

"Right! I'll go tell them!"

"Right. I'll come up here at noon."

The two men turn separate ways, Ford going to his room, and Dipper going upstairs. Ford punched in the passcode and stepped down to his lab, coming into his worktable.

He set his hand in his gauntlet, it was almost fixed, then he could go down there and save you as fast as he could. He sat on his chair and took out a screwdriver and got to work.

Wait for me, he though. Hold on till I get here. I'll save you.
