Chapter warnings: none, just fluff
Notes: This chapter is a little shorter, but it's just an introduction. I hope you enjoy it!

You listen to your math teacher talk for long minutes, but all the while you wonder why there are more letters than numbers on the board.
Soon enough, you get bored and decide to take a look around the class while the school bell doesn't ring. You see Bruce writing down all the things Mr. Fury says and glaring annoyed every time Tony answers the questions correctly, even though he hadn't even opened his notebook.
On the other side of the class, but still on the front roll, you see Steve and Natasha paying attention to the class, but eventually elbowing each other playfully. You remember Carol saying something about the two starting dating soon, but you think you're all too young for that.
Right by your side, you see Pietro Maximoff drawing some random patterns on the back of his notebook and you smile amusedly at your friends' dull expression. When you throw a small paper ball at his face he startles, and you try to hold back your laughter as Pietro flips you off discreetly.
On the desk in front of his, you see Wanda Maximoff taking notes, her eyes a little wider from focusing on the lesson and you unconsciously smile a little. Noticing your eyes on her, your best friend turns to face you and smiles endearingly when your eyes meet. You wave at her and she does the same, but soon she's turning to look at the teacher again and you do the same.
As you listen without much interest to Mr. Fury talking, all you can do is wait for the class to be over.
-----
It's Friday and your last period has just ended.
You walk side by side with your group of friends, and you fill almost the entire corridor. As you approach the door, Pietro and Carol say goodbye because they have detention for skipping class earlier in the week.
Then you chat for a while, but soon you get to the parking lot and have to say goodbye to Tony and Bruce and you wave at your friends until they get inside their parents' cars.
So you, Wanda, Nat, and Steve walk together to the bus stop and you talk about gathering the gang for a camping night on Nat's parents' farm. You work on some details but a few minutes later their bus comes and you and Wanda say goodbye to your two other friends.
And like this, you and Wanda walk back home. The Maximoffs have been your neighbors since before you can remember and you've been friends with the twins for as long as you know. Since your houses are only a few blocks away from school, the three of you always walk. But today it's only you and Wanda since Pietro had the detention after school. You don't mind.
You and the brunette walk side by side in silence for a while, the cold autumn wind often brushing your hair. But then you see Wanda rubbing her hands on her pants to ward off the cold and you look at her.
"What happened to your gloves?" You ask, and the brunette blinks a few times before answering, surprised by the break of the silence. "I lost them during gym class today, I think." She tells casually, her eyes locked at the ground, but when she notices your movements, she looks up at you.
"What are you doing?" She asked with brows furrowed quizzically, but you're already taking your gloves off and handing them to her. "Here, have mine." You say simply, but Wanda shakes her head. "I can't have your gloves, Y/n, your hands will get cold."
With that, you put one glove back on your hand, but keep holding the other towards her. "Let's share, then." You explain when you see her confused expression, and Wanda chuckles softly before accepting. You watch the brunette put on the glove with a victorious smile and think the rosy blush on her cheeks is because of the cold.
