So I think that was Sakura did was not right but I personally think that inos and Sakura's relationship was toxic at the beginning of there academy years. Ino was talking behind Sakura's back to other friends of hers and both were in love with the same person. I personally believe that betraying a friend is worse than temporarily breaking of a friendship. In a normal relationship it is also better when a person wants to be friends again instead of cheating on that person. Maybe it was the same for ino and Sakura. They always cared for eachother (hint chunin exsams) yet they didn't want to ruin Thier friendship.
I know it sounds weird but that is a Theorie of mine.
