Billy Hargrove, the most beautiful boy anyone had ever seen. At least that was what people were saying now, but you knew it would change in a few months. It used to be Steve Harrington, but that quickly changed after Billy moved to Hawkins. You still thought that Steve was the prettiest boy you had ever seen, though, and you both had feelings for each other, but neither of you decided to admit it until now.

Steve had finally worked up the courage to ask you out, but his plans were all going to the garbage after he saw Billy leaned against a locker talking to you. He could feel his heart break and he just felt sick seeing you talk to someone like him. A douche.

You closed your locker, smiling at Billy.

"So I'll pick you up at six?"

"I guess, but please don't be a dick and rub it in Steves face," You told Billy.

"Me? A dick? Never," He finished his sentence with a sarcastic tone, "See ya' later, beautiful."

You couldn't help but feel giddy at the fact that you actually had a date. You were pretty, but not pretty enough to get a date. Especially with Billy Hargrove, but things happen sometimes.

You turned around to see Steve opening his locker up, and you almost ran over to him.

"You seem more smiley than usual, Y/n," His tone seemed off, and you immediately knew what was wrong.

"You saw me talking to Billy, didn't you?" You asked him, already knowing what the answer was.

"Yeah, I did. I just don't want him treating you like he treats all the other girls!" He whispered to you, trying not to let anyone else hear.

"But that's the thing! He asked me out on a date, Steve, and you know how special that is to me. I never get asked out by anyone because I'm not as pretty as the other girls," You said with a genuine smile on your face, finally feeling pretty and noticed for once.

"Hey, you don't tell yourself that. You listen to what I say, okay? You are by far the prettiest girl in Hawkins," He said, his eyebrows scrunched up, "Honestly in the whole world."

"You mean that?" You asked him. Him saying this just reminded you of the feelings you had for him and it made you feel slightly guilty for going out with Billy.

"I mean it," He said, shutting his locker, "And I'm gonna be there with you when he picks you up, okay?"

You let out a breathy laugh and walked to the door, Steve following closely behind. He caught up to you, you guys now walking side by side and it didn't take long for you to get to your house, considering you lived right by the high-school.

You got your keys out and unlocked the door, your mom saying hi to you when you walked in. She saw Steve and immediately asked if he wanted anything. Steve had been a friend of yours for a while, so she treated him like her own son whenever he was over, which was a lot.

You two walked into your room and he took a seat on the bed.

"Remember when we had each others first kiss here?" He said with a smile, "I remember you were awful."
