It has been exactly 1 week and 2 days since Azaria and I had moved into this paradise. We have already been swimming, shopping and exploring the city. We have definitely living the good life at the moment.
Right now, I am sitting on the couch in the lounge room, sipping from a cup of hot coffee, while browsing one of my favourite websites, 'Wattpad', on my laptop.
I smiled while clicking the vote button on my favourite book, The Girl He Never Noticed.
I then leaned back onto the couch, while pulling the fresh cup of coffee to my lips.
I inhaled the glorious smell, sighing with pleasure. I took a sip of the steaming hot coffee, then put it back onto the table right next to my laptop.
Azaria was sitting beside me, in black jeans, and a pink shirt with a red love heart on it. She was watching one of her favourite TV shows, Peppa Pig.
I watched the show with her for a few seconds, then I heard a knock on the door.
Azaria and I both looked at the door with curiosity. I sighed while getting out of my chair and brushing off dust from my blue jeans and green blouse.
I opened the door. Outside revealed a slim tall woman with tanned skin. She was wearing a red jacket with a white shirt underneath, a red knee-length skirt and red stilettos.
She wore thin black glasses covering her big brown eyes. Her thick black hair was in a loose, but perfect bun.
Her eyes sparkled along with the smile she gave me.
She held her left hand out in front of me, while her right hand was clutching a clipboard.
"Hello Miss Whitters. I am Mrs Eadi Sullivan, I am the room organiser here. I am here to discuss your new roommate", she said while continuing to smile sweetly.
I smiled back at her before nodding my head and grabbing her hand and shaking it. I opened the door a bit wider and gestured for her to come in.
She walking in and made herself comfortable onto the couch right beside Azaria, where I was sitting.
Azaria was eyeing her, looking her up and down as though she was an alien from a different planet.
Mrs Sullivan noticed Azaria and once again smiled and stuck out her hand.
"Hello darling. My name is Mrs Sullivan, I work here as the room organiser. What's your name?", she asked Azaria.
"Um... Er... It's Azaria", Azaria stuttered nervously.
She gave Mrs Sullivan's hand a small shake.
"Azaria sweetie, why don't you go and play with the toys in your bedroom", I said to Azaria.
Azaria nodded, jumped off the couch, and ran to her bedroom.
I don't know how she is always this energetic!
I sat in the spot Azaria was sitting in, while Mrs Sullivan put her clipboard onto her lap.
"Okay Miss Whitters, we have found somebody who is going to be living here as your roommate. He is a friendly young man who has been promoted in his career and has decided to live in an apartment for the time being. He will be moving in, in three weeks", Mrs Sullivan explained.
Okay this might work okay. I start work next week, and Azaria starts school the week after that.
When she finished talking, she stood up. Wow, she's leaving already?
I stood up along with her.
"Well thankyou so much for giving me notice", I said while giving Mrs Sullivan a cheerful smile.
I received one back from her.
"No problem Miss Whitters", she said.
She then pulled her left arm to her face, I realised she was looking at an expensive looking watch.
"Sorry Miss Whitters, but I need to go have a meeting with some people living in room 4. They have been complaining about their apartment smelling like vomit for the past month", Mrs Sullivan said while shaking her head.
I giggled.
"Thankyou", I said.
She opened the door and left with just giving me a wave.
Well luckily I know about my room mate. I'm glad their is some nice people living here.
