"Aden you've been acting strange lately." I heard my wife say.
We were having dinner but I hadn't even touched my food. I couldn't eat and I couldn't sleep and because every other night Leroi would come and do those terrible things to me.
"Aden?"
I finally looked up at Abby. She was worried about me yet I couldn't tell her what was happening. All I could do was continue protecting her and our child.
"I'm fine Abby, I've just been tired lately." I told her.
"Is it because of work?" She asked, not sounding too convinced by my excuse.
I nodded, "Yeah, sort of." I lied. I never wanted to lie to her but I had no choice at this point.
She smiled, "Well take it easy then, you really gave me a scare there."
I nodded, "I'm sorry, I'll try to be more careful from now on."
We finished our meals and went up to our room. I made love to her and then we were fast asleep while Eden slept soundly as well in her room. But if only I knew what was about to happen next. I was awoken later that night by the sound of heavy footsteps.
There was an intruder in our home, and not just one there were dozens of them and they were headed right for our bedroom.
I quickly got out of bed and started to grab my clothes but it was too late, the door burst open and there were a bunch of red eyed monsters standing there. Abby suddenly woke up and screamed when she saw them, and that's when they pounced on her.
"No!" I wanted to stop them but someone grabbed me. I looked up to see Leroi.
"Sorry Aden, but I've decided that it was finally time for you to leave this life behind." He said.
"What!? No, let go of me! Please!" The demons were all over Abby and I wanted to save her but Leroi held on to me tightly. "Please let me go Leroi!" I cried as I watched the Demons have their way with my wife. Then she suddenly stopped moving.
"Abby..n-no.." My eyes widened and my whole body began to tremble before I screamed at the top of my lungs. Leroi then silenced me with a kiss. But I pushed him away and ran out of the room to find my daughter. Thankfully I found her safe and sound in her cradle but before I could pick her up I was yanked by my hair and thrown to the floor.
"What do you think you're doing?" Leroi asked.
I looked up to see him standing there with my daughter in his arms.
"Put her down you monster!" I screamed. He kicked me hard in the gut. I clutched what was left of my stomach and glared at him. "Don't hurt her.." I said weakly.
"Don't worry I won't, you're the only one I really want to hurt right now. Your wife is still alive, and as for your child, she'll remain alive as well, as long you come with me." Leroi said.
I slowly got to my feet and looked at him, "If I go with you do you promise to leave them alone?" I asked.
He nodded, "Yes, I promise."
I didn't want to give in to him but I really didn't know what else to do, he'd kill me and my family, and I didn't want them to die. I didn't want to die either.
I looked at the demon again, "Okay, then I'm all yours." I said.
Leroi smirked before putting my daughter back into her crib and then he walked towards me before pulling me into another heated kiss. I moaned and a tear rolled down my cheek once I realized that I had been captured again.
