A meeting and a lullaby

•°•Giyu POV•°•

I woke up in a cold sweat. That nightmare, again. That must mean... it's today. The day Sabi died. It's on today and on nee-chan's death day that I am most vulnerable. Especially to anything downgrading, like Shinobu's talk. But she's right. No one likes me. Not since everyone I love is dead.

"CAW CAW! THE MASTER HAS REQUESTED A HASHIRA MEETING!"

I sighed and unfurled from the ball I slept in. I looked at my haori, the one made from Sabito's and Tsutako nee-chan's haoris sown together. I realized that I had slept in my uniform so I just put on my haori and grabbed my sword. I walked out of the water estate. I reached the meeting area first. I went over to the tree that I stand at, to distance myself from the others. The ones who deserve the title of hashira. I sat down and leaned against the trunk of the tree. Small, pink blossoms fell around me. It was a calming and peaceful atmosphere. The words of a lullaby my sister used to sing to me came to my head. I closed my eyes and started reliving the memories.

°•°Rengoku POV°•°

Me and the hashira, minus Tomioka, were walking to the meeting place. We had all spent the night over at the fire estate, training with eachother and having a good time. We never did exactly invite Tomioka but, Shinobu said that it didn't matter. As we walked into the meeting area, I heard soft singing.
"Let's play~ to a song that we make. Wipe your tears and your fears.
I'll be here."
I look around and see Tomioka at the tree he usually stands at, sitting down and... is the one singing? I walk over to him "Hello Tomioka-san! How are we today?" I say in my normal loud voice. He stopped singing, looked up at me and nodded. He then stood up suddenly. "The master has arrived." Two monotone voices called out. I walked over to my place in the line of hashira. "Hello my children. I hope the sky is clear today."
"Good morning master. We all hope for your health." I looked over and Tomioka was the one saying it. I was still startled over Tomioka's singing. Now he's the first to speak to the master! But he truly has an amazing voice, gentle, calming and mysterious. "Children, it has come to my notice that a powerful demon has been ravaging a peaceful village by the mountains. Kyojuro, Sanemi and Giyu. Please may you go check this out. Meeting dismissed." We all nodded and left the meeting area. I walked over to Tomioka and Shinagazuwa. Shinagazuwa scowled at me while Tomioka just stared blankly at me. "Let's get the directions from the Kasugai Crow."

°•°Sanemi POV°•°

Of course I have a mission with these two idiots. "Oi Tomioka, I didn't know you could sing." The hell did flame head say? The loner can sing? I turn round to find flame head talking to the loner. "It's not that good..." That idiot. "I thought it was amazing! Where did you learn the song?" I swear, the loner looked uncomfortable. "My... sister used to sing it to me..." He trailed off. So he has a sister? Wait... Why am I getting interested in the loners business!? Like Kocho says, no one likes him. Then why do I feel strange around him
