Chapter 27

Amity's POV

I woke up and got ready I went outside on my balcony to climb down the rope but before I could climb down I heard a know on my door I quickly made it back into my room and my door opened it was my dad "Morning dad" I said "Morning Amity how is commanding a pact of new recurits going" he asked "Good apart from a guy who thinks he is above me and wanted a male commander" I said "He tried to get you fired from that roll" he asked "Yeah he did" I said "Well I just got rehired by the leader and I heard everyone that has retired like me is getting rehired for the battle" he said "Yeah that seems reasonable" I said "Well I'm going to leave you to it alright" he said "Ok" I said then he left my room I waited for him to close my door then I went outside on my balcony and looked down the rope and saw Luz climbing up "Luz" I said my face light up she looked up at me "Sweet potato" she said she climbed up and I hugged her she hugged me "What do you want to do today" she asked we stopped hugging "I'm not sure the battle is coming close but we can hang out today and tomorrow" I said "Yeah I know let's go to a hill in bounty hunter territory it's very pretty" she said "That's a good idea" I said "Yeah" she said then she climbed down the rope I followed her down and she lead me into bounty hunter territory and went to a hill we sat down and started talking "Are you sure after the battle we'll still be together" I asked "Yeah I'm sure" she said "What if one of us dies" I asked "I won't let that happen" she said "But you can't control anything" I said "Yeah I know but I know we won't die" she said "Ok I trust you" I said laying my head on her leg "Yeah I know" she said she kissed my forehead I smiled we stayed there for a bit then I sat up and stood up "What are you doing" she asked "Come on you want to run around with me" I asked holding out my hand "Yes" she said grabbing my hand and standing up I started to run she followed we kept holding hands we ran around a bit then we stopped we laughed and held hands again and she pulled me close we touched foreheads "I love you so much you know that right" she asked "Yeah I know and I love you" I said then I backed up a little bit "If you love me I guess you won't mind is I do this" she said she ran at me and grabbed my waist and tackled me down to the ground I laughed she mimiced me by laughing too and got off me then I sat up and grabbed her shirt and pulled her in and kissed her we stayed there for a bit then we pulled away I let go of her shirt we stayed up on the hill all day then we went down when it got dark we hung out at the barrier when the sun went down then we headed back up to my room and stayed on the balcony for awhile then headed inside and sat on my bed after a bit we heard a knock Luz quickly ducked on the other side of my bed and under it the door opened it was my brother and sister "Hey guys" I said "Hello mittens" Emira said they walked in and closed the door "I'm so glad it's you that came in" she said "Why,...oh are you and Luz hanging out in here" she asked "Yeah" I said I knocked on my bed to singnal to Luz everythings ok she came up "Oh you two you guys know right" she asked "Yeah we know" Emira said "Oh thank goodness I don't want to get caught before the battle" she said "Yeah we know" Emira said "Ok well what do you two need" I asked "We just wanted to visit you see how be a commander is going" Edric said "Ok well it's going good apart from a guy who thinks he is above me he tried to get me fired from being the commander" I said "Did you make him show you repect" he asked "Yeah sure did beat him in a fight" I said "Whoa" he said "Yeah I know" I said "Well we can see you two are busy so we are going to leave" Emira said "Ok see you two later" I said then they walked out of the room and shut the door Luz came back onto my bed and we talked and laughed I layed down and looked up at her she leaned in and kissed me on my forehead "Luz aren't you little scared of what is going to happen in and after the battle" I asked "Yeah I am I can't hide it from you or anyone else it's just the fear that will survive" she said "Yeah I know that's how I feel too" I said "But I know that mostly everything will be okay" she said "Yeah me too" I said after a bit I sat up and kissed her again we stayed there for quite a long time then I pulled away and hugged her "Please promise me that everything will be okay" I said "I promise everything will be and turn out okay" she said hugging me I hugged tighter "I don't want to lose you" I said "Me neither I don't want to lose you" she said "You just woke up and healed I can't see you get hurt again" I said "Yeah me too" she said she hugged me tighter I cried a little we stayed there for a long time then I knew she needed to get back to the bounty hunter base before someone finds out she isn't in her room and sets up a search party I stopped hugging her and I whipped my tears away and siffing "Well I should let you get back to the bounty hunter base" I said "Yeah I'll see you tomorrow morning I'll come to you, you don't need to come to me ok" she said getting up and out of my bed and walking outside onto my balcony "Yeah ok" I said coming next to her she kissed my forehead then climbed down the rope and went back to the bounty hunter base I watched her then I went back inside my room and got ready for bed I laid down on my bed and fell asleep quite quickly.
