-my pov-
Kwazii knocked on my door and entered my room, witnessing me snooze my alarm for the fifth time this morning.
"Yeow! Morning matey- Wha-Matey it's time to get up! We have fireworks to watch later and sparklers to do!" He exclaimed.
I smiled. "Okay, okay! I'm up-" I chuckled a bit. "I'll be out there in a minute."
Kwazii left my pod and I got dressed in a tank top and shorts. I had temporary tattoos on my hands from the previous day. I sighed some and left my pod, heading to HQ.
"Good morning Pluto." The Captain waved.
"Good morning Captain!" I smiled.
"Is everyone ready for a night of fireworks and celebration?" He asked.
"Yup!" Everyone nodded and agreed.
"Alright. Octonauts, let's set up." He nodded.
"Yeow!" Kwazii shouted.
-later-
It was getting dark out and the veggimals had the fireworks set up. We had snacks and sparklers, as well as glowsticks. I had my phone in my pocket with my earbuds.
"Are ye excited matey?" Kwazii smiled.
"Yeah!" I said, not to mention how loud it was going to be. It's okay. I'm okay.
"Look matey!" He said, turning our heads to the sky.
hisssss...BAM.
Bright colors of the first fireworks painted the night sky. The sound, ear shattering. The colors, sparkling and distracting.
A few more soared up, following by the high-pitched whistle and loud bang. We all sat in awe, watching the lights. Soon, it started building up. The noise. The lights. I took out my phone and put in my earbuds, putting on a Playlist, turning up the volume. I heard some muffled talk and watched the fireworks as some of the others cracked and passed around glowsticks. I took a bite of my kelpcake and rocked a bit.
More fireworks.
The ear pricing noise.
pewww.....BANG.
I covered my ears and tried my best to stay calm. Breathe. It was too much. It was so bright. So loud. I blinked back the teats that were pushing their way through. I could tell two people. Two people know. Captain and Peso. They were the ones I had to tell. Captain when I joined the crew and Peso because well- he's basically my doctor now.
The others knew. Just not about my certain sensory icks. I shakily stood and walked over to Captain Barnicles, tapping on my shoulder in a steady paced pattern.
I attempted to clear my throat bit. "Uhm- Captain?"
"Oh, hello Pluto! Enjoying the night?"
