Lunch disrupted

Barry pov:

Last night i had a blast with Kara honestly i assumed that she will be just like any other rich powerful people, rude and all that stereotype about them but i guess we just got on the wrong foot in the beginning. I decided to get Kara some doughnuts and make her some homemade coffee leaving a note for her as well. After cleaning up I made my exit and headed back home to do my daily farm and vineyard chores. After an hour or so of doing work i decided to drop Kara a text to see how she was doing...

"Dude just go to her "- my best friend Cisco says as he sees me staring at her contact on my phone

"What?"- I asked confuse

"Oh come on you obviously want to"- Cisco

"She's this big hot shot girl boss why would she have time for me"- Barr

"Cause you are her so called boyfriend, come one Barry"- Cisco practically begged i sighed and just continued staring at her contact till Cisco decided to snatch my phone and call Kara himself he then tossed me my phone back and smirked i rolled my eyes and put the phone near my ear after a ring or two she answered

"Kara Danvers speaking"- She says over the phone damn she has an angelic voice ..

"Kara heyyy is Barry.."- i say trailing off and i could see Cisco holding in his laugh

"I know thought it will be nice to play with you so why'd you call?"- Kara

"I was just um..wondering if you are free to grab a bite? Say...lunch time? 12.30 there?"- I ask shyly over the phone

"I would love to"- Kara

"Great I'll cya in a bit Ms Danvers"- Barry

"See you Mr Allen"- Kara. After the call ended i was smiling like an idiot well i didn't know i was till Cisco pointed it out, i sighed and went back to the house and quickly showered before getting in my car..well i was about to till i remembered i still had my bike in the garage after a couple of minutes of thinking i grabbed my helmet and a spare for Kara and got on. As I drove off i could hear my mum shouting to better be careful. Well lucky for me i would be able to save up some time getting to the city and finding a good place to bring her out....

Kara perspective:

I just got off the phone after a quick conversation with Barry i couldn't help but smile i do not know what powers Barry has but he surely can stick himself on my mind barely trying to. I tried to get as much work as i could do before he arrives. I was not gonna lie that i would direct my attention to the elevator doors hoping and waiting for him to walk out, once the clock hit 12 past 3 i see him walking out of the elevator. I smiled and pretended i was still busy with work till i hear him knock on the glass doors..

"Hey Kara you ready to go?"- Barry asks 

"Yeahh let's go"- I say getting up and grabbing my phone and wallet, we were about to walk into the elevator before Felicity called out for me 

"Ms danvers i'm sorry but there are some investors on their way in like 10 minutes that is hopping to speak with you"- Felicity 

"Can't it wait? "- I ask 

"Sorry maam but they insists they want to speak with you asap if not they are saying they would take their business elsewhere"- Felicity 

"Alright then...Barry i'm so sorry"- I turned to face him who was standing there awkwardly not knowing what to do 

"Is alright um how about a compromise? i can maybe just grab us some food nearby i saw a place called Noomans? Any recommendations?"- Barry 

"Um maybe a egg mayo sandwich and coffee?"- I say 

"Alright I'll be back in a flash"- He said winking at me before leaving i sighed and me and Felicity walked into my office to get ready for the investors coming as she was rambling with who they were and what they want i couldn't help but let my mind linger elsewhere again, soon the investors arrived and I told Felicity to tell Barry to wait at her desk first she nodded and left and now I was stuck in this boring meeting when i could be somewhere better...
