I was in my lab analysing a few samples that my captain asked me to check, honestly this new job has given a whole new perspective on things and it really distracted me from Kara, although i do miss her i miss her a lot god.. did i just say i miss her i mean i really do. I was patiently waiting for the time where i would be able to clock out but it seems like time was moving very slow. As i finished and was putting down my report Allison Argent my partner well sort of my partner that's what she calls herself that is walked in
"So Allen you seem bored out of your mind, i am surprised that you are not being wrapped around that girlfriend of yours"- Allison
"Well when you are dating a media queen you sometimes also need to wait till her day clears"- Barry
"Come on let me take you out, there is a scene where i could really use that brain of yours"-Allison, i sighed and got my stuff and followed behind her with my car. When we got to the scene she went and do her job which was to go question a few people about the murder that had just happened. I put my gloves on and went to gather evidence around the scene after i collected enough me and Allison went bac to the station
"So conclusion Allen?"- She says walking in my lab with two cups of coffee and handed me one it had been an hour and i was able to analyse the evidence
"Well the murderer used a knife which seems to be a very typical weapon to use, i managed to the fingerprints and here is our culprit if you ask me this work is sloppy"- I say handing her my report
"Well thank you and you have fun on your date "- Allison
"No plans detective?"- Barry
"Work comes first "- Allison says then turning around and walked off. I sighed but least when i looked at the time and realised i was able to clock out already. I took my coat and went to drive to Kara's office and was like always greeted by Felicity hard at work after having a quick conversation i made my way to kara's office and sat on her couch flipping through some magazines as she was in a meeting still. Least i only had to wait for half an hour before she walked in i gave her a small smile and once she had finished a few more of her things before we both headed for the movies. The ride as always was silent but good silence i was fighting the urge to hold her hand i had no idea why..it felt like she knew it and she herself took my hand and interlocked them together

Butterflies erupted in my stomach like always just feeling her skin in contact with mine. Once we arrived at the cinema just like i predicted there were a few cameras already ready to take pictures of us two. I sighed helped her out of the car and we walked in hand in hand of course before getting stopped by a few reporters asking us about our relationship
"Ms Danvers how would you address the rumours that you and this guy here are in a fake relationship"- Reporter
"A rumour that stays as a rumour "- Kara says in a firm tone
"Well you both are rarely seen together "- Reporter before Kara could answer i stepped in
"We prefer to keep our relationship on the down low and it works for the both of us not everything we do needs to be in the limelight now if you excuse us we have a movie to catch"- I say earning a smirk from kara and we both walked in the cinema. Once i got the tickets we headed in first to our seats and thank god there was not many people
"You know you didn't have to stand up for me just now"- Kara
"Well you are my girlfriend it wouldn't really be a very gentlemanly thing to do if i hadn't stood up about us"- Barry
"Thank you"- Kara
"Nothing to thank me for...popcorn?"- I ask and she nodded i smile and got up to go to grab some snacks. I got a large salty popcorn and 1 large sweet tea. As i was making my way back to kara i bumped into a familiar face
"Allison hey"- I say
"Barry who would have thought i would have ended up here with you"- Allison
"What happened to work first?"- Barry
"A blind date happened so i take it you are here with your girl"- Allison
"Yeah i see you in there?"- Barry, she nodded and i went back to Kara I told her all about Allison except for the part of me and her working together i didn't know why i never mentioned anything to Kara. After a few trailers I see Allison walking towards us with who i assume is her date. I wanted to give them a proper introduction but then the movie started i felt kara tense up beside me i grab her hand and begun drawing circles at the back of it to calm her down i was not sure why she was tense...
Kara pov:
I was waiting for Barry to return from getting us some snacks when he did he begun talking about this girl i had no idea why but suddenly my stomach felt twisted and when she arrived i could see how close they were. The feeling didnt disappear throughout the movie and after the movie as we walked out with her and her date
"This was really fun we should do it again sometime"- Allison
"Yeah we should how about after the end of both of your shifts?"- Allison date asked while pointing at Barry and Allison who looked embarassed
"Shifts?"- I asked
"Well they both work at the NCPD"- before he could finish Allison bid goodbye and dragged him away. I looked at Barry who was just silenced i sighed and walked back to the car slamming the door behind me as i got in the back seat refusing to seat with him. The car ride was just filled with tension each of us stealing a glance in the mirror. After half an hour we finally made it to my apartment and once we got in the door i slammed my purse on my kitchen table
"When were you planning to tell me you worked at the NCPD"- Kara
"I wanted to but everytime i tried you were busy "- Barry
"So no "Hey karr i got a job " texT? what else have you not told me"- Kara
"I also got an apartment "- Barry says scratching the back of hes neck
"When were you gonna tell me all these changes in your life I am your girlfriend!"- Kara, i just realised what i said at the end..
"Girlfriend? more like the girl i am in a business deal with cause that is all we are right Kara? a business proposal we will never be more than just a proposal"- Barry
"w...what? what are you trying to say.."- Kara
"That i want this to be real Kara..cause i am sorry but i know i shouldnt have but i am falling in love with you hell i already am...i cant do this right now i have a shift tomorrow "- Barry says walking out slamming the door and just broke down in the middle of the room..
