Goldenhills Mountain Passage
A soft breeze brushes by as the trio makes their way up the mountain passage. The moon is full providing good light to their path ahead. Splashes of water against the shore down below can be heard. Trees creak with the wind. An owl or two can be heard hooting in the distance. And the sand crunches below the hooves of their horses. The air is freezing, yet there is no frost on the ground. The higher up the passage they ride, the quieter their surroundings get.
Something is bothering Erik as they ride up the mountain passage. He feels the need to open up about it. "There is something I saw when I fell off Apocalypse when competing at Jorvik Stables...for a split second I saw one of the missing girls on the riding track, in front of the obstacle. That's what led to the riding accident. I was caught by surprise", explains Erik, while the others listen intently. "And when I was knocked out, I had this strange dream. I was riding through the Devil's Gap when the headless horseman attacked me. Back at Jorvik Stables when I ran away from Apocalypse, that was because I saw the headless horseman's horse inside Apocalypse's stall. Not Apocalypse. These dreams, hallucinations, visions, whatever they are, all felt so real. At times I struggled to tell them apart from reality".
"Wait, you have mentioned these kinds of things happening to you before too", says Sandra, making an input.
"Yes. But all of this got more frequent ever since that harvest party", says Erik.
"Maybe you got some foresight powers, you just don't know of it yet", comments Kendra.
"Kenny, Im serious", says Erik and frowns at Kendra.
"So am I", says Kendra, genuinely being serious about what she said. "Back on Paddock Island when we passed Broken Tooth Island, I thought I saw the island engulfed in flames. And a horse was caught in the middle of it. But it was gone with a blink of an eye".
"Wait, so you are both seeing these strange things, and I'm not??", Sandra asks.
"If I were you, I wouldn't want to see these things", comments Erik.
"Look!", Kendra shouted in the middle of it all, pointing to some rocks. Everyone stopped their horses and looked up. They saw a glimpse of a dark horse trying to escape when it was discovered. "It looked like Harpy's horse! I'm following it!" Kendra gently nudged her heel at the side of her horse. Snowfall began to gallop away at full speed, heading in the direction where they had seen a dark horse trying to escape.
"We have to follow her!", Says Sandra. Erik agrees. The two left behind by Kendra, now follow in her tracks.
