A Life as One

A few months passed and the wedding day had finally arrived. Since they didn't have much family left alive, Trunks and Veta just casually told Bulma and Silver.

Bulma, as usual, overexaterated and pulled both of them in a tight hug saying facts about Trunks to Veta. She couldn't help but laugh at a few of them.

Trunks waited at the alter feeling quite nervous. He looked at Silver who mouthed the words: "Don't you back out now."

The music began and Veta, in her lovely wedding dress, walked slowly down the aisle. As she reached the alter, she turned to face Trunks. He could see a slight blush appear on her cheeks.

She's so beautiful... he thought. I only have three words to say: best day ever.

The two of them turned to the pastor. He opened his book and began to read the words.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today to celebrate..."

The pastor looked at Veta, being careful not to say a certain word. If he did, her body would burn until she killed him. She was a demon wolf after all.

"To celebrate the wonderful union of Trunks Briefs and Veta Dominchia."

She flashed a smile and mouth the words: "Thank you." He nodded and continued, trying to dodge that certain word. Now it was time for the vows.

"Do you, Trunks Briefs, take Veta as your lovely wedded wife? To have and to hold, in sickness and in health for as long as you both shall live?"

Trunks smiled at Veta, who returned the favor with a smile of her own.

"I do." Trunks replied.

"And do you, Veta Dominchia, take Trunks as your lovely wedded husband? To have and to hold, in sickness and in health for as long as you both shall live?"

"No..."

Everyone gasped until she spoke.

"Far longer than that."

"The rings?"

A small boy, a child Veta had saved and befriended, brought the rings to Trunks. He hugged the child and put one of the rings on Veta's finger. She did the same thing to him.

"By the power vested in me, I know pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

With that, Trunks pulled Veta into a kiss. They all cheered and clapped for them shouting:

"Hooray!"

"Woohoo!"

"Great job!"

They broke the kiss and waved at their friends and their family with a smile. Veta whispered something into Trunks' ear.

"The things I'm gonna do at our honeymoon..." she said with a smirk.

Trunks slightly blushed and smirked.

"That's if I don't tackle you on the bed first." he whispered back.

She laughed and kissed him again. They can finally live together, as a family. Live as husband and wife, live as a mother and father, live as eternal partners, live as one.
