A Future Love Story

The Baby

It was time. 10 days passed. Everyone was ready, hopefully. Trunks, Vegeta and Sikia were about to leave.

"Here." Bulma said, giving Sikia a scouter. "To stay in touch."

"Where are you going?"

"Kame House." Vennesa replied.

"Trunks..." Veta said nervously.

"Yeah?" he said.

"Be careful. Don't get yourself killed got it?"

He laughed.

"I won't." he said with a smile.

They hugged each other. Trunks kneeled down putting his hands on Veta's now large stomach.

"I'll see you later." he said kissing her stomach.

"Let's go." Vegeta said.

Sikia and Trunks nodded. They flew off to meet with the others. Veta, Bulma and Vennesa went to Kame House.

Veta's POV

We made it to Kame House. Roshi was there, as always. What a perv... We sat in front of the TV, watching the Cell Games.

"The media is so retarded. Don't they realize that they'll possibly die if they stay?"

"There are a lot of idiots in this world." Mother explained.

I rolled my eyes and watched the news.

Trunks' POV

It was a while after we got there. All those 'fighters' that went before us got beaten. It was now Goku's turn.

Him and Cell fought vigorously, barely in sight. All this time, I was thinking of Veta.

What if the baby's born before we make it back? What if I die when it's born!? Then it'll live the same life I had. I realized that this was a mistake, but I couldn't back out.

I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't notice that they stopped fighting. I heard Goku speak.

"I give up."

What!? Goku what are you doing!? I thought.

He's not fighting Cell!? But he's the only one who could beat him!

"Gohan's going to fight you." he said.

I looked over at Gohan. It is a possibility. Perhaps Gohan could beat Cell. But if he can't...we're all doomed.

A few hours passed. Goku had just died. There was smoke everywhere until...

Zing!

I was shot in the heart, a hole in my chest. I was dead...

Veta's POV

The camera had broke.

"What happened!?" I shouted.

"The camera must've broke. Same thing happened when Goku fought Vegeta."

"Damn it!"

I kicked the TV in anger screaming.

"Stupid piece of garbage! How do we know if that baka died or not!?"

I suddenly felt a power level dropping. It seemed familiar, it was Trunks'. Tears formed in my eyes and fell onto my face. I began to cry.

The only person who cares for me died, and I treated him like dirt. I fell on my knees as I cried. I could feel the warmth of Bulma's hand on my shoulder.

"Veta? What's wrong?"

"T-Trunks...i-is...d-dead!" I whimpered, still crying.

Their eyes widened.

"W-what!?" they both yelled.

Author's POV

Time had passed. Cell was defeated and everyone, except Goku, was brought back to life. Including Trunks. The girls were still at Kame House.

Veta's POV

I felt a burst of energy. It was him! He's alive! I cried tears of joy, but suddenly felt a rush of pain in my stomach.

"Veta!?" Bulma yelled.

"The baby's coming!" Mother screamed.

I felt my water break. Mother and Bulma rushed me upstairs. They placed a blanket on the floor and had me sit down. Mother removed my bottom clothing for the baby.

"Ok Veta, just breath and push." I heard her say.

My eyes were shut. I breathed fast and pushed as hard as I could.

"Come on! A little more!"

I screamed in pain. Water was coming out of my eyes. I nearly fainted a few times.

"Ok! I see the head! Keep pushing!"

I did as she said. After pushing with all my might, I heard an infant's cry.

"Ya did it!"

I opened my eyes and saw my mother hold something in a blanket.

"It's a boy." she said.

She placed the baby in my arms. I looked at him. He had purple hair and blue eyes like his father. I smiled at him. Finally, I'm a mother...

Trunks' POV

It was finished. Cell is gone, but so is Goku. I completed my mission. I saved the past from the androids. I heard a beep come from Sikia's scouter.

"Hello? Mhm...uh-huh... What!? Ok, I'll tell em."

"What's wrong?" Yamcha asked.

"Trunks, I got good news and bad news. Which do you wanna hear?"

"The bad news." I replied.

"Veta might kill you."

"Why?"

"That's where the possible good news is... She just had the baby."

"WHAT!?" everyone shouted.

We all hurried back to Kame House. We entered to see Mother smiling.

"Where's Veta!?" I asked it panic.

"She's upstairs."

I ran to her as fast as possible. I entered the room to see Veta and...a baby?
