Tony wasn't completely unfamiliar to the sudden fame, for the first 8 years of his life he was usually presented in front of a camera. Whether it was red carpet events with his family, or some documentary Maria insisted they should sign him up for because it'll be 'good' for his social skills. This led him to develop social anxiety, Howard just claimed the boy was broken and was one of his inventions that couldn't be fixed, and maybe, just maybe Tony believed that.

He hasn't really suffered with the usual overwhelming anxiety since he started living with Steve and Bucky, nobody cared for his identity. Nobody even mentioned the Stark family anymore, they were a thing of the past. Sometimes he'd see it in a text book one of his fathers inventions, or a discovery and although that was his biological father he felt no relation to the man anymore. Tony remained cooped up on his bedroom, too scared to go outside. Bucky and Steve have been approached in the streets and Tony wasn't going to go outside until he felt reassured that a camera wouldn't be pressed against his face. The internet had made their family look evil, 'forcing' Tony away from his own uncle, not letting him 'speak for himself', and 'holding' Tony back from progressing in life. None of this was true but the family had agreed to stay off social media to prevent any issue of leaked images of friends, family and locations they visit.

But now that Father's day was coming along  Tony had to think of how he could still do something for them even though the current situation was rough. He never celebrated holidays, especially ones aimed at parents. It never crossed his mind with his previous families. His father didn't bother with holidays, Christmas wasn't a thing nor were birthdays. Though since Tony had warmed up to the new environment he felt as if there were things he might want to experience, or at least let his parents experience. He wished he could go down town and buy them each something, even if it were just a candle. Though his anxiety snapped back at that idea, with the whole press and articles going on about him he knew he wouldn't dare to let himself go. So maybe he would have to improvise? Maybe build them something? But what if it was already too close to the date and he couldn't complete it in time? He circled his bedroom debating idea after idea, he hated gifted presents. His father just gave people money and that seemed to work, but Tony didn't have access to enough money to get them a proper gift.

"Pshhh... I got this. Yeah.." He sighed, rubbing his temples as if it were going to generate him an idea. "A gift..two gifts. Gifts!" He rummaged through his drawers thing to spark some idea, nothing. He emptied his closet, nothing. He pulled everything out form under his bed, nothing! He sat on his bed with a huff, letting his head fall into his hands. Why were holidays so difficult? Jarvis used to know what to get him when he was a kid, so why couldn't Tony just think of one little thing? But that was it, as if it were in front of him this whole time. Beside from the clothes and boxes, shoes and books he had just flooded his floor with on his desk was his laptop and a picture frame with a photo of the three of them beside it. Two things they gifted Tony for his first birthday with them,

An idea finally sparked.

It was the day before father's day he actually got started, he had finished his online school work and was ready to get on with the gift. He opened a document and started scrolling through his photos and selecting them, mostly family photos or just the couple. This was one of those moments he was actually happy Steve took photos of everything. He placed them down on the document and collaged them trying to make it look as  aesthetically pleasing as possible. And once he confirmed with himself that both cards he made looked presentable he printed them off and took his fancy card, (which he may or may not have stolen from Steve's office) and placed it on his desk ready to perfect it.

"What the fuckkkk..." Tony groaned as the glue would squeeze out of the bottle onto the card, he needed the cards to at least stand up and the paper wouldn't do that on its own so he knew this was necessary. "Shit!" He gasped as the glue exploded, it messily game out in globs over his desk and he cringed at the sight. "Fuck me."

For someone who dealt with such fiddly items he was hopeless though too stubborn to put this all away, and finally, he had two perfectly good cards, he wasn't certain what the write inside. Does he start with Dad or just their names? Would dad be weird?

'Dear,'
Tony was already stuck. His pen hovered over the card as he debated his choices. Was Bucky too ofd for father's day? Would it look like he didn't see Bucky as a father figure?
'Bucky, i just want to say thank you for being so supportive to me and being the American baseball dad every kid needs.'
Tony smiled at his inside joke, baseball was one of Bucky's interest and he had one encased on a shelf.
'You've really helped me over the years and there is no way i can't repay you. Happy Father's day, Lots of love, your favourite intelligent, genius, son, Tony.'

Tony sighed in relief, he was satisfied with the letter quickly reading over it a few times before placing it on his desk and turning to the second letter.

'Dear Steve, Thank you for your fatherly protective presence, even if sometimes it's something to tease.'
Tony hummed reading over his first sentence, though gave it a small shrug.
'Thank you for putting up with my crap over the last couple years and making me feel like i'm apart of the family, i couldn't of wished for any more in any way shape or form. You've put a lot aside for me, so thank you again. Happy Father's day. From your absolute terrific, one of a kind, one and only son, Tony.'

It was safe to say Tont didn't like using his words very much.

It was a Sunday morning, Tony's phone buzzed loudly sending him awake, the boy reluctantly slipped out of bed grabbing the two cards and tip-toeing down the stairs to try not wake his parents. At this hour of the morning everything was quiet, not even the birds were singing. Tony had to fight the urge to play music and just to crack on with the food. He stuck some toast in the toaster, cracked some eggs in a frying pan, and cut up some tomatoes because he knew that Steve would insist on them. Of course he couldn't plate the meal without the morning coffee as well even if it required him to balance a lot more up the stairs. Everything was placed on the tray, so Tony hobbled his way up the creaky stairs not caring so much about the noise, the sound of the two men talking assured Tony they were awake.

"Morning," Tony grinned, gently knocking the door open. The couple had a habit of leaving the door open so Tony always felt welcome.

"What's the occasion?" Steve laughed as the boy tried to to stumble around with the tray of food.

"Don't give me that." The boy warned jokingly, placing the tray down cautiously between the two men, though moved the coffee onto each beside table. "Okay, this one is.." He quickly checked the inside of the card before handing it to Steve. "Then this is for you." He placed the second card it Bucky's extended hand.

"Awh. Thanks Tony." Bucky smiled sweetly, though it was obvious he was only a couple minutes awake. "Sit down." He invited, gently tapping the spot beside him. Tony wasted no time slipping down and getting comfortable. After a minute both men had finished reading and were giving Tony affectionate looks.

"Don't get used to it." The teenager grinned, rubbing his eye. Bucky wrapped a arm around him and pulled him closer.

"God i love you." Bucky squeezed the boy gently.

"Love you too." Tony giggled into the embrace.

"I'm feeling very neglected." Steve huffed sarcastically.

"Oh Stevie." Bucky pouted jokingly, releasing Tony from the hug. The boy circled round the bed and gave Steve a hug, though was practically pulled down into a firm bear hug.

"You're going to suffocate me!" Tony laughed, though was muffled into the duvet.

"Fine." Steve smiled, letting go of Tony. "You can the remote and pick something to watch, Tones." Steve offered, pointing to it on the dresser. Tony got up and turned on the TV, the sight of the News talking about Tony in an 'abusive' household immediately put a dampened feeling on their morning, though Tony was determined he wouldn't let it ruin the day.
