The lost family

I found myself in a jungle of some sort, cutting through bushs hoping to find atleast something, or somewhere i could rest. I snatched the map from my backpack, twisting and turning it until it was the right way up.  "I thought this stupid map was supposed to help me, not get me lost in who knows where" I groaned. I peered closely at the map, trying to see if there was some sort of other way i could go, but there wasn't. I contiuned to cut throught the various ombrae of plants that surrounded me, until i saw a tiny village. Towering mountians surrounding it.  For some reason i felt that something was off about the town, like something had happened to it. I looked around a bit more, then seeing a tall yet small house towering over the town, like a castle in a fairytale. I quicky yet, carefully climbed down the hill trying not to trip. Once i had gotten down the hill, i explored around the town. There had been no one in sight, only except a few abandoned carts and stalls with some rotten fruit, but that was it. I made my way towards the big house above, unkowning of what was to come. Once I had made it up i approached a dark cyan door with carvings of a family in it, some of the paint chipping and cracked. I put wrapped my skinny fingers around the door knob, nervous at what could happen.  I twisted the knob and slowly opened the door, the door opened with a groan then revealing a big courtyard with stairs on both sides leading to many doors above. I looked in awe taking a few steps, not realising what i was doing at all. I again took a few more steps wanting to go look at the doors that wrapped around the square building. " who are you?!.." i whipped my head around to see a lady with dark chocolate skin, a purple dress wrapping around her skinny body, and dark brown hair down to her bottom. "Well?" the lady asked again with the same stern voice she had before. "oh uh, I'm really sorry i didn't think anyone lived here" "I-i think i will leave you be, sorry to bother you!" i replied quickly running off, but something around my ankle stopping me. "your not going anywhere" the same woman possesively called. I tugged a few times trying to get the vine to release it's grip but only had gotten tighter. Then something whacking me in the head, making my world fade to black. My eyes squinted open only seeing black, but at the same time i heard voices and whispers. I started to thrash around, trying to get out of whatever had been tying my wrists and ankles down. "guess there awake" i heard a dominant voice call as she also chuckled, which had also sounded like the same woman from before. "Take off the blind fold" i heard a older womans voice say, just after. I felt someone untie the blindfold around my head then taking it off. "Huh?! W-whats going where am I?!!" I then saw a whole family around me. They just laughed at me like it was some sick joke. "W-who are you people?" they just stared at me like i offended them or something, "hmm they must not be from around here" a young girl called. Then they all started to introduce themselves, (Yes i'm lazy i know) then they all said "we are the Madrigals"
