East Wood wasn't bad.

For weeks of trying to fit in finally settle in my mind despite of the struggle I had to face whenever I tried to communicate with people around me. They are all peculiar, in an odd and terrifying way.

They observe deeply, they talk in subtle.

And there's nothing more terrifying than the eyes that couldn't meet the eyes.

Despite of the weird feeling and guts that say we weren't really welcome in here, there this distinct whisper that always assures me I'll be okay.

Weird, I know, but that actually helps me to cope with changes that had happened in my sudden 360 turn.

"They are all creepy." Lalith whispered while we were having our daily escaped in the backyard near the old rose garden at East wing.

"You've been saying exactly the same thing for like a hundred times now Lalith." Rohan, with his factual yet sarcastic remark would definitely bring him trouble.

Lalith, who was unfazed with an obvious retort, maneuver her attention towards me.

"Your brother is creepier, Isla." Lalith mocked that receives chuckles from me and Milo.

Rohan snorted and end up ignoring the three of us.

"But seriously though, am I the only one who observes their somewhat peculiar behaviors." Untag nito saka humalumbaba. "Weird how their behaviors associate with one of the creatures of the night that I knew too well."

"Let me guess..." Rohan sarcastically interjected. "...vampires."

"Right, vampires." She agreed instantly.

I am tempted to rotate my eyes to 360 but opt not to. The lore from the shudder of awakening from a state of trance while being buried under six feet of earth was somewhat fictional.

"There might be an element of truth behind the fascination of a man." Lalith uttered in sublime.

"Hey, stop leading us to your fictional escaped Lalith. It's creepy." Milo dissed.

"But what if they are real?" Lalith insisted.

"They are not. There is a reason why they are narrated and written; it's for people to feel fear. Fear is the main unifying feature, and therefore the key to the vampire's existence. Akala ko ba matalino ka? Why are you sticking with figment ba?" Milo murmured in disapproval.

"Ano ba ang mayroon sa mga bampira at parang gustong-gusto mo sila Lalith.?" Nakapangalumbabang tanong ko sa kaniya dahil sa hindi maipaliwanag na pakiramdam.
