"How did you know..." I said slowly. Looking up I noticed a serious look on his face.

"Do you remember what Mr.Matrova was talking about today?" I shook my head in comprehension.

" Would you believe me if I said that they weren't just stories or myths?"he said as he began making his way for the middle of the valley.

I slowly followed him, keeping some distance. He then stopped and turned around.

" Gwendolyn, there is something I have to tell you that I've never told anybody else. You need to promise that I can trust you." He said.

I didn't know what to say. I didn't feel like I was in danger. "Yes, I promise that whatever you tell me or show me I'll keep it between you and me. But I have a question first, how do you know my name?"

He let out a small laugh and replied, "I know a lot more about you than you think."

He stared at me in a way that I can only describe as longingly. Maybe even a bit relieved. It was like he knew something that I didn't.

I stared back at him, ready for whatever I was about to see. He took of his jacket and threw it at me. I almost dropped it but got it just in time.

He shut his eyes and began to relax. Then all of a sudden he made a loud grunt and started bending over. The sound of bones cracking was heard and I closed my eyes.

After a few second the sound stopped and I slowly opened my eyes. I stared in shock at what was in front of me.

The large crimson wolf with golden eyes was standing there staring at me. I stood there, dumbfounded at what I had just witnessed.

How is it possible to become a wolf? All of a sudden the wolf started to walk towards me in a relaxed manner. I slowly walked towards it gazing back into its eyes.

This wasn't just any wolf, this was Cecilian. He got closer and stopped. I walked up and put my hand on his furry head. He nuzzled his head in my hand, seemingly enjoying my touch.

A wide smile grew on my face as I watched this. All of a sudden he began to lower himself and lay down. I went up to him and sat down, not caring whether I got snow on me.

I cuddled up to his large furry body and closed my eyes. It was like all of my worries just faded away as I dozed off.

I woke up awhile later, luckily the sun was still up. Cecilian laid there with his eyes closed, sleeping. It was almost as if he felt the same way I did. It was like a big bundle of warmth enveloped me.

I slowly began to move and he seemed to notice. Cecilian opened his eyes and nudged me with his head towards his back. Was he try to make me get on him?

The only animal I had ever rode was a horse, and that didn't go very well. But when would I get this chance again? I trusted Cecilian and he trusted me. He wouldn't try to hurt me.

I slowly got up and attempted to get on. He was way too big for that. All of a sudden his head came in contact with my butt and pushed me upwards. I pulled myself up and held on for dear life.

We weren't even moving and I was already freaking out. He slowly got up and just stood there for a bit, making sure that I was on good enough. Then with on swift push we were off.

He ran through the valley and towards the mountains. He had found a path large enough for both of us and briskly ran towards it. We soon came to a more rocky path and started making our way up.

I could barely keep my eyes open from the snow and wind constantly assaulting my eyes and face. All of a sudden we began to slow, and stop.

I looked up to see the beautiful sight before me. Way down below us was the town, in the large valley we called home. We were up on a cliff of the surrounding mountains. It was absolutely gorgeous.

My face began to brighten and a large smile began to grow. I leaned forward to whisper into Cecilians furry crimson ear. "Thank you Cecilian, your secret is safe with me."
