Kat's POV

Okay, so I don't actually know how I got to kissing Brody, but honestly, I was absolutely fine with it. He pulled me closer as I ran my hands through his flawless blonde hair. His hard, chiseled body felt cold against mine, but it felt perfect. This moment went on for what felt like hours, which could've gone on for many more hours later.

You know, if we weren't rudely interrupted.

Someone at the door clears his throat, rather loudly, causing us to separate. Standing at the door is Hunter, wearing an annoyed look on his face.

Well, this just got awkward.

"Good, I see you're not doing anything important right now, Brody, so you can come with me." Hunter says. You can literally hear the venom dripping of every word he said.

Brody shoots him a dark look before walking behind him as he leaves the room. He turns back, to give me a apologetic look, before leaving. I stand there for a minute or two, just trying to run my mind through what had just happened, before leaving and walking back to my room. My back was stinging and aching, but I knew I couldn't stop it. As I walked back to my room, I passed something I didn't expect to see.

"What the fuck are you doing!?"

Hunter's POV

As Brody and I entered my office, I didn't even bother closing the door. As soon as his foot entered the room, I had his body slammed against the wall.

"What are you doing?" Brody screams at me, causing me to be a lot angrier than I already was.

"You kissed her, you fucking bitch!" I scream back.

"Oh really? I didn't realize that, I thought I was just sucking her soul out."

Okay. That's it. He's fucking done.

"You can't kiss her! She's mine!" I yell at him, slamming my fist onto his face. He laughs. Using all of his strength, he gets me against the wall.

"Oh she's yours, is she? Well who was the one who gave her their shirt?" He says before punching me. "Who was the one who bought her clothes?" - another punch - "Oh yeah, and who was the one who was just kissing her a few minutes ago? I'm pretty sure that was me. And I'm pretty sure that makes her mine."

I push him onto the floor and we just end up screaming at each other.

Who the fuck did he think he was kissing her?

Between all the screaming and fighting, it was hard to hear the soft but strong voice yell.

"What the fuck are you doing?!"

We both turn to the door to see Kat standing at the door, wide eyed and worried. We push off each other and stand up.

"Kat! Tell him that you're mine!" I tell her. Brody just scoffs.

"She's mind, you fucktard, we kissed and she cares about me!" He says.

"Well?" I say, looking at Kat.

"You have got to be kidding me." She says, looking at us like we're idiots.

"I walk into here to see you two, who were best friends when I first came here, fighting like complete douches, to find out that it's over me! And you think I'm going to choose one of you? Well you know what? No. I'm not. I'm not choosing either of you. I'm not going to stand you two thinking that you can win me by beating up the other? No. I'm not going to fucking touch either of you. Yeah, I liked both of you, I'll admit that. But because you two are fighting each other, I'm going to stop."

By the time she's finished, all the anger has gone out of me as I see the tears stream down her face. I begin to walk towards her to engage her into a hug, but she pushes me away.

"Kat, I -" I begin, but I'm cut off by Brody.

"Who would you choose." he says, causing both Kat and I to look at him.

"What do you mean?" she asks, as confused as I am.

"I mean, if you were to fucking choose, who would it be?" he answers, raising his voice.

"Uhh...Brody you can't jus-"

"It's him isn't is?" He cuts her off, pointing at me. More tears fall down her cheeks.

It takes me a while to realize that she actually would choose me.

Obviously Brody realizes it much before me. He grabs the nearest chair and throws it across the room, clearly enraged.

"Fine." He says. "I don't need you. Or him. I'm done here." He storms out of the office, straight to his room. Kat, on the other hand, is on the floor, crying. I bend down next to her, feeling as though I should comfort her, but I know I shouldn't just yet.

"Come on," I say, placing my hands on her shoulders, lifting her up off of the ground "let's get you to bed. It's late, and it's been a long day."

Out of nowhere, she throws her arms around my neck and hugs me, head buried into my collarbones. I wrap my arms around her waist, softly rocking side to side.

"It's alright, it's alright." I whisper, before carrying her off to her room and swiftly dropping her onto her bed. I wrap the blanket around her, while I considering kissing her cheek, but because of all that happens, I decide not to.

"Goodnight, Hunter" she says, already sounding half asleep.

"Night, beautiful."

Before going back to my office, I walk past Brody's room, hoping he's calmed down, only to find it empty. I walk into it, and everything is gone. No clothes, nothing. He's gone.
