{A/N - okay, so first off, I'd just like to say, that this story completely changed from what I firstly imagined it, and that'll make more sense after this chapter, but yeah, I guess it just happened. I'll explain more when the chapter's over! Hope you enjoy it <3 }

Kat's POV

"This? This is my room?" I say, looking at it with complete and utter shock. "This is barely more than a cupboard! There isn't any windows!" This cannot be my room. It's too small, completely grey and windowless. Brody laughs at my expression.

"Yes, this is your room. Yes it has no windows. You're living with vampires, remember? No sunlight?"

"Oh, right. Sorry" I say, embarrassed by my idiocy.

"Uhh, okay, so this is your room. Bathroom's in there, your closet's there. You're probably tired so I'd get straight to sleep if I were you." Brody tells me, and as if on cue, a huge yawn comes out of my mouth. I walk over to the closet to grab something comfy for me to get changed into.

"It's empty." I say, turning around to Brody.

"Oh. Uhh," he answers, looking around the room for something to give me. Out of nowhere, he takes his shirt off, revealing a very muscular chest.

And I don't mean six pack, no, he was more of a twenty pack at the least.

"Wear this. It'll obviously be big for you, but hopefully it'll be fine." I take the shirt off him.

"Um, thanks. I'll get changed now." I say, trying to hint for him to look away, a hint that obviously doesn't work. Nope. He just sits there.

"Well?" I say. "Well what?"

"Turn around!" I tell him, bursting into a fit of giggles.

"Oh! Right, sorry..." He turns around, looking as embarrassed as a vampire really could, yet he didn't look embarrassed, he just looked so attractive, with his shirtless back. Focus, Kat. Stop googling over the shirtless guy in your room. Stop. I quickly slip out of my dress and into his shirt, which falls just above my knee.

"Thanks for this." I say, tugging at

his shirt. He smiles at me and I return the favour.

"No problem, Kat."

I stifle a yawn before crawling into the bed, which wasn't exactly warm, but at least it wasn't cold.

"Goodnight Brody" I whisper.

"Goodnight Kat." he answers, before walking out the door.

"Brody?"

"Yeah?"

"How does it happen?"

"How does what happen?"

"How do you change into a vampire, I mean."

Brody walks back inside and sits on the corner of my bed.

"I thought Hunter was planning on telling you everything." he says.

"Obviously not. I wonder why he didn't tell me."

"Yeah..."

"You sound like there's something you're not telling me." I say, and I mean it, it's obvious in his tone.

"Well, maybe he didn't tell you how it happens because he's worried and doesn't want you to go and change yourself, and I sort of understand his point of view, as well." he tells me, making me wonder if he was worried too.
