MARY'S EYES welled with tears, her hands clasped over her heart, and her hips wiggling in an odd little happy dance that was signature to her. A high-frequency squeal was emitting from the back of her throat, though her closed lips muffled the sound just enough to make it bearable.

"You. Look. So hot!" She shrieked, jumping up and down. "I'm a master at my craft. I'm who Coco Chanel believed she was. I'm... amazing!"

"You're modest, too," Theona commented, fidgeting with her large earrings awkwardly.

She was stood in the middle of the Gryffindor girls' dorm, fitted in a flowing burgundy dress, which was held up by two lacy straps connecting to a v-cut chest; the skirt began just under her breast-line in a regency era style, and flowed down to her ankles. Made of several thin layers of light silk and tool, the dress moved around her legs like water through canals, catching every curve of her thighs and dip in her waist.

To match, Mary had forced Theona's feet into a pair of low black heels and slipped thick black hoop earrings into her ears. She had spent the last two hours on hair and makeup; pinning her curls into a 'Brigette Bardot' esc up-do—"Who?" Theona had queried—and powdering her eyes with 'Twiggy' style burgundy eye-shadow—"Like a stick?" She'd asked. When was Mary going to realize Theona had no idea who these no-maj icons were?

All her hard work had paid off, according to her dramatic reaction.

"What do you think?" Mary asked with those big, round doe eyes staring up at Theona.

Theona turned to the mirror, formulating an answer, "Well, I definitely look hot."

"That's my girl!" Mary exclaimed, latching onto Theona's wrist. "Let's go. Sirius, James, and Lils await you!"

Theona rolled her eyes as Mary pulled her down the winding staircase; she almost went full tuck-and-roll about a million times. When they finally reached the common room, Theona staggered and brushed away the loose hairs that were stuck in her lip gloss.

"Look at my date, boys! Absolutely fetching, she is," Sirius announced with wide spread arms, the second he laid eyes on Theona's clearly disgruntled form.

"Careful with the word 'date,' Padfoot," Remus warned. There was an edge to his voice that peaked Theona's interest.

"I'm with Remus," she began, eyeing the boys carefully, "a date is the last thing this is. Besides, wouldn't want your boyfriend to get jealous, now would we?"

Remus choked on his tea. Sirius spluttered. James looked like a deer in headlights and all the girls began to look around at each other.

"Boyfriend?" Sirius rasped, red in the face.

"You know, James. You guys are basically boyfriends with how close you two are," she smiled, innocently. She was totally onto them.

James chuckled nervously, "Brothers, more like it."

"Keep telling yourself that." Theona remarked, revelling in the effect her words had. "Anyway, we'd better get going if we're to arrive on time, hm?"
