Dear Annoying Little Sister,
Pretend I never said this and it's something mean instead, but I really miss you. Not having you around is getting to me. I feel like I'm eleven again, worrying about you being home alone with our parents. I've been having nightmares. Emma keeps asking what they're about, but I can't tell her. It would be too complicated. No matter how many times I remind myself we're safe, it's like it doesn't process. I just hope you're doing well, because, outside of all the worrying, I think I am.
Anywho, moving on. I met Emma's parents and they're great folks. A lot better than ours, anyway. They keep calling me son and I'm not sure how I feel about it. In my experience, I'd prefer not to be anyone's son. Still, I'm glad she trusted me enough to bring me home. I know it's early, but this girl is really special. The final test is going to be seeing how you two get along. I need to make sure my best girls are each other's best girls too.
I think Nick is growing tired of third wheeling. Emma wants to set him up with one of her friends, but he's being too picky.
How's school? Are you passing with flying colours like back at Ilvermorny? How are your friends? Any girls or boys catching your eye? Fill me in!!!
With Love,
Your Annoying Big BrotherDear Old Sap,
I miss you too. Like, a lot. I get the nightmares as well. Every time you don't respond to a letter fast enough, I start to think Mom and Dad found you. Those bastards are never gonna stop haunting us, hey? I hope me being gone gets easier for you. I still have a whole other year of school left, after all.
Speaking of school, it's going well. Divination is still a pain in my ass, but I've befriended my partner, Billie, and she's helping me along. Herbology also sort of sucks right now. Our midterm project has nothing to do with plants that heal, but it's my own fault for choosing the wrong plant to study. I'm excelling at my other classes. Charms is too easy and Potions comes naturally to me, as always. My partner is kind of a dick, though. It's almost charming how much of a jerk he can be.
My friends are great. The boys are still idiots, no shock there. Sirius has recruited me to spy on the Slytherin quidditch team (don't worry, I'm being careful). James and Lily are finally together. Not officially, but James is planning some big romantic gesture to ask her to be his girlfriend. The girls are the only thing keeping me together. Mary is introducing me to muggle fashion, which is actually quite interesting. Marlene and Dorcas keep trying to convince me to go flying with them, but I don't know. Would it be worse to never fly again or to realize I'll never fly the same again? Who knows. I'd have to ride on the back of one of their brooms, and you know I've never enjoyed that as much as riding on my own. Pandora is still my best friend here, but I feel like we've been drifting lately. My fault, most likely, I've been distracted.
No boys or girls. Not that I'm complaining. One teenage romance was enough for me.
Let me know if you end up telling Emma anything. If you think she's the one, might as well rip off the bandaid as soon as possible, right? And if Nick is gonna complain then he needs to lower his standards, I say. Maybe we need to introduce him to a witch girl. That'll be sure to keep him in line.
With love always,
Your Young Sap-

MCGONAGALL WAS not happy. Theona's cold had worsened to the point that her voice was completely gone, so she would not be able to commentate for the Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff game. This, unfortunately, meant Emmeline Vance had to come out of early retirement for one last game.
