Marco's POV

I was on my way home from work, excited to see my boyfriend and best friend, Jean. It was our one month anniversary today and I was very excited because he told me this morning that He had a surprise for me. I have been wondering what it was all day, and now I'll be able to see it.

I was going down Main Street in Trost, the town we live in with all our friends when a car came speeding behind me and the next thing I know the car is spinning and I ram into a house and bash my head on the steering wheel, then I black out.

Jeans POV

I was preparing a romantic supper for me and Marco when I heard my phone going off, it was an unknown number. I picked up the phone, wondering who was calling me

"hello, is this Jean Kirstien?" A woman's voice who I didn't recognize asked. She sounded very concerned

"Yes, this is he. Who are you?" I asked started to feel a little worried

I heard a soft sigh from the other side of the phone before she spoke again "I'm a nurse at the Trost hospital. Marco Bodt was in a car accident. You're his first emergency contact. He's in critical condition"

Connie: yeah. We can. But you should go now.

Sasha: yeah.

Jean: okay. Thanks guys

I hang up and drive to the hospital and run to the front desk asking to see Marco and telling the receptionist that two more people will be coming to see him. She told me that he was in room 50, and I got there as fast as I could.

When I entered the room I saw him. Marco was attached to a bunch of machines and barley conscious. I went to his side grabbing one of his hands.

Marco: j-jean?

Jean: yeah Marco, it's me.

Marco: hi. I'm glad I could see you before I went to sleep. I'm really tired

Jean: no, please don't go to sleep. You can't. Come on, stay awake. You can't leave me. It's our anniversary.

Marco: o-oh yeah. What was the suprise?

Jean: I was planning a game night for us. I also cooked your favorite meal

Marco: r-really. Im sorry I won't be able to eat it with you. But please stay until I leave *weakly smiles*

Jean: *cries* no, Marco please! Don't leave me! I-I need you.

Marco: good bye. I love you

And that was the last thing he said to me. Then he was gone. I couldn't believe it. The man I loved more than anything in this world was gone. And I never did get to tell him I loved him back. Just then Sasha and Connie got there and saw everything. They came and hugged me until the doctors came in and took him out. Then I went home, feeling nothing but sadness. I put away the food, no longer hungry. Then I went to the bedroom that was mine and Marco's and laid down. But I didn't sleep, all I did was think about the little bit of time I've known Marco, and then I just cried.
