Marco's pov
"How has everyone been?" I asked when stepping into the room.
"Good Marco, how bout-wait...MARCO?!" Eren yelled as Jean and Armin came inside as well
"It's good to see you again dude! Jean, are you smiling?" Connie asked coming up to us and hugging me
"Why? Don't I smile a lot?" Jean asked, probably offended.
"I think what Connie means is that we weren't expecting you to smile today much." Sasha said "come on Connie, let's let everyone else say hi. And besides, you need to help me steal some food for later!"
"Okay. Bye Marco! See you at the wedding!"
"Bye guys" I said with a laugh as I grabbed Jean's hand and took him to everyone else.
"Hey Marco, nice to see you again" Mikasa said after hugging me
"Y-yeah..." eren said, still very shocked
"Hey! What's going on here?" I heard an unfamiliar voice say
"Captain Levi! Hi! We were just celebrating our friend's life, he died a month ago. But now he's back thanks to Hange." Armin replied
"Tch. Doesn't surprise me. So where is this friend anyways then?"
"H-hello sir. It's nice to meet you. I'm Marco. Marco Bodt." I said extending my hand
"Nice to meet you too. I'm Levi Ackerman. Captain of the police department here." He said shaking my hand
"So would you like to stay and talk with everyone? Or do you have to go Captain?" I asked
"I have to go. But it was nice to meet you." He said "and this place better be spotless before tomorrow brats!"
"Yes sir!" Eren said getting out of his shock
"How do you guys know him?" I asked looking at Jean
"He's the officer that worked on your case." He said in a whisper
"Oh... did he solve it?" I asked
"Y-yeah. That's actually why he's captain." Jean said crying and hugging me
"Hey guys, what did we-Marco? Is that you?" A voice said from the doorframe.
"Ymir, what are you talking about? It can't be-MARCO?!" I heard another voice say. Ymir and Christa.
"Hey guys. How've you been?" I asked as Christa jumped up and hugged me and then Ymir side hugged me awkwardly. She's never been much of a hugger.
"We've been good! We are actually getting married in a week also." Christa said with a blush
"I'm happy to hear that." I said with a smile
"Well, since Marco's back, let's party!" Connie yelled "to celebrate his return of course"
"Yeah. That sounds nice. Let's go dance Marco" Jean said grabbing my hand
We had a lot of fun that night. Captain Levi and his friend Erwin even joined us after his shift. But what he didn't know was that Connie snuck a "tiny bit" of alcohol in his tea, and let's just say that's when things went from crazy, to chaotic.
