Chapter nine

"Mom what are you doing here?"
"Well I thought I would surprise you, so tada."
     "Look now just now a good time, I'm so glad to see you just bad timing."
     "Well can I just wait here until it's good timing?"
     "You can wait at my apartment, I still have job to do mom."
     "Actually I don't think it's a good idea for anyone to be at you apartment right now." Emily butts in.
     "Ok mom go sit at my desk, says my name on it."
     "No! Why isn't it a good idea for anyone to go to your apartment right now y/n? Are you in danger?"
     "I don't know mom, I just don't know, so if you would just go sit down that would be amazing." You say with a fake smile on your face.
"Oh ok yeah if that helps." Your mom says as she walks over to your desk.
     *30 minutes later*
"Did you find anything in her car?" You hear Matt ask Hotch from the phone and then you see him make a disappointed face so you knew there was nothing.
"I just got off the phone with Hotch, the car is clean." Matt says when he walks over to you, Emily, and Luke.
"This guy is organized, I mean there has got to be at least 30 pictures in here, and I didn't notice this guy take one of them." You say throwing around the pictures.
"Gosh where is Spencer when we need his." You hear Emily mumble.
"I know right." Luke says in a laugh.
"Guys I'm equally as qualified as Reid." You say in a sassy voice.
"Well of course, it's just your the victim so your head might not be as clear, and you might start making stuff up in your head. It's what people tend to do." Emily says in a monotone voice.
"Aren't we all to close to this case?" Luke asks.
"Yeah technically we were never assigned to this case, I mean it's not even a case yet." Matt follows up Luke's question.
"Well y/n is one of our own, and when one of our own is in trouble we help them, no matter what the cost." Emily says defending me.
       You give her a small smile and mouth, "Thank you."
*2 hours later*
The whole team is now at the BAU, and everybody is overwhelming you with questions until you finally break and say, "Guys I only have one brain, and if you break it you aren't going to get answers, so one at a time please."
"Y/N take a break ok, go get a cup of coffee or something." Rossi says patting your hand.
"Uh ok, that sounds good."
You walk out of the briefing room and you walk to your mom and she asks, "Sweetie what's wrong?Are you ok?"
"Yeah I'm ok." You say as you pull her into a hug.
"Do you want to go get a cup of coffee?" She asks me after a few minutes.
"Yeah that sounds nice." You say after you stop hugging.
"Ok let's go sweetheart." She says after kissing you on the forehead.
On your way to the coffee shop you couldn't stop thinking about Spencer and how he would do that for you. You look at your mom and ask, "Can we go to the hospital mom?"
"Why?"
"I have a friend in the hospital, he was shot."
"Oh yeah we for sure can."
"Ok I'm just going to call one of my agent friends real quick." She nods as you pull out your phone.
You start calling JJ's phone and she picks up and says, "Jennifer."
"Hey JJ will you put Hotch on the phone?"
"Is this y/n?" JJ asks.
"Yeah it is, will you please put him on the phone?"
"Yeah of course."
You hear her walk into the briefing room and say, "Hotch y/n wants to talk to you."
"Hotch."
"Hey Hotch I'm going to see Spencer right now and I just wanted to tell you."
"Y/N you know it's not safe to be at the hospital."
"I know but I just need to see him."
"Do you have your firearm on you?"
"Of course I do, when do I not have it is the question."
You hear him chuckle and say, "Be safe please, we all need you."
You felt a warm feeling in your heart and you say, "Don't worry I need all of you too."
"Bye y/n."
"Bye Hotch."
*At the hospital*
You run into the hospital and then to Spencers room and say, "Hi Spencer."
He looks at you shocked and then says, "Hey, what's going on."
"Other than getting stalked by some creeper and having at least 30 unknown pictures of me, great."
"Oh y/n I'm so sorry."
"Hey what are you going to do."
"Really y/n I am sorry. Come sit next to me, I promise I won't try to kiss you again."
You chuckle and go and sit next to him and say, "Spencer you are one of the best friends I could ask for, all of the stuff I've done to you and your still such a good friend, I've done nothing to deserve you."
"You deserve me in every aspect, just because we go through some things and I say stuff that you can't ever say back doesn't mean anything. I know that and I still choose to say them so you are not to blame. You are also just a kind hearted person that I love to be around."
"Thank you Spencer." You say as you wrap your arms around his torso and lay your head on his chest.
You feel Spencer's eyes on you and he asks in confusion, "What are you doing?"
You shush him and say, "Just enjoy the moment please, I need it."
"Ok." He says in a chuckle.
A few minutes later I hear my mom come in the hospital yelling my name. I hop straight up and run out of Spencer's room and grab my mom by the shoulders and ask, "What's wrong? Mom are you ok?"
"No, no, this guy he came up to me in the car and told me to roll down the windows, he asked me if I was your mother and I said yes, then he stabbed me in the arm and leg."
You run over to a nurse with your mom and ask the nurse, "Hey could you take care of these stab wounds?"
"Of course." The nurse says in a calm sweet voice."
"Ok thank you so much." You say giving her a small fake smile.
You run to Spencer's room and say, "My mom just got stabbed by the stalker."
"Call Hotch."
You nod your head and pull out your phone to call Hotch. "This is Hotch."
"You guys need to come to the hospital now."
"Ok we're on the way."
*25 minutes later*
"What's wrong?" Morgan comes running in asking me.
"He stabbed my mom."
"Who did?"
"The unsub, the stalker, he hurt my mom."
"Little mama I am so sorry." He says pulling you into a hug.
"Thanks." You say wrapping your hands around his back.
"Do you think your mom would be up for a sketch artist and maybe a few questions." Hotch asks as you pull away from the hug.
"Maybe, I don't know, you'll have to ask her, she's right down the hall." You say pulling Morgan's arm for him to follow you.
      You make it to the room and say, "Hey mom this is my friend he has a question for you."
     "Ok ask me anything I want to be the most help I can be."
     "Ok do you think you could give a accurate sketch of the person who stabbed you?"
"No he had a mask on I could only see his eyes."
"Ok thank you." Morgan says walking out do the room with you following behind.
"Sorry my mom couldn't help more." You say once you are both in the waiting room.
"It's not your fault."
"I know, but I feel guilty."
"I understand, but we need to get you into protective custody for the time being."
"What about my mom am I just supposed to leave her?"
"We will have around the clock security on her, I promise she'll be ok."
"Ok and what about Spencer."
"What about him?"
"Will he be ok?"
"He will be ok."
"How do you know that?"
"I don't actually, good idea. I'll call Hotch."
"Ok thanks."
You hear Morgan say a few minutes later, "We're going to have a few officers at Spencer door at all times."
"Ok I'm going to go tell him."
"Kay."
You walk to Spencer's room and say, "Hey Spencer."
"Hey."
"Are you doing better."
"Yeah I feel like Superman."
"Well that's amazing."
"Yeah that was a total lie, I feel like crap."
"I know thank you for doing that for me."
"Oh yeah no problem."
"So you are going to have some officers outside your door for you."
"For what?"
"I can't say."
"I understand."
"Yeah I was sure you would. Goodbye Spencer."
"Goodbye, but stay safe please." Spencer says as you are walking out of the room.
"You too."
You walk into the waiting room and say, "He's ok with this so yeah."
"I already told your mom while you were with Spencer."
"Ok good, good."
"Ok we need to get to the BAU right now."
"Ok let's go."
*At the BAU*
"Go into the briefing room Luke, Hotch, and a few officers are in their, that's as much as I'm allowed to know." Morgan says as you step out of the elevator.
You give him a hug and say, "Thank you for everything."
"Hey I'm not going anywhere."
"Yeah but I might, so thank you."
He gives you a small smile and you head to the briefing room.
