The New Transfer Student

I wake up with a headache, probably from getting wasted at last night's party,
I held my head, groaning in pain and discomfort.
*I shouldn't have challenged Veronica to a shot race*, I thought.

But of course, me being me, I beat her in it by 2 shots. Was worth winning? Not at all.
Getting out of bed, I saw I still had my clothes from yesterday, having a flashback to my best friend, Ally, bringing me in to my house.

I'll remind myself to thank her for that.

Heading to go get some pain killers to calm down my annoying headache, I get a relief when I notice my parents had gone to work.
They annoy me when they fight and annoy me even more when my father makes it about me or blames me for something.

Can't do much about it since they've been fighting as long as I can remember.
Yeah they have some moments but 80% of the time, they're arguing about something small.
On some days, I do get scared when they take it a little too far and my little sister Taylor is with me. She's too young to see this but there's not much I can do except telling her to go to her room and put on her headphones.

She's only 6 and I don't want her to turn out like my father because of how much she's seeing him. My little brother, Chris, he's already 15 so he stays over at his friends house and rarely comes home.

After zoning out and taking my pain killers, I go to take a shower and get ready for school that I'm REALLY late for (already missing 2 classes).

After putting together my outfit, which is a black sweater from the brand US Polo, and some black jeans, with some converse and one grey sprinkled beanie.
We have no uniform at the school I'm at so I can wear what I like.

I grab my bag and head to my car to go and getting there, I was greeted by a few groups of kids who some I knew but some I didn't.

I was popular in my school, not popular where everyone talks about me but popular enough where people know who I am and give a simple wave or compliment.
I don't mind it at all. In fact, I like being popular.

Getting to my 4th period, I was met by Ally.
Sitting on my class chair, I thanked her for helping drunk me get to my bed.
"That's what friends are for" Ally says, giving me a smile.
Me and Ally have been friends since middle school. We both clicked when we met and quickly became troublemakers in our school after setting off some pranks to our teachers.

She and I had each others backs and I couldn't ask for more than her.

Time passed fast and when the bell rang for Lunch, I saw my girlfriend, Lucy, coming towards me. I love her with all my heart and she's very special to me since she's my other best friend, I could never hurt her.

Finally getting to me and Ally, she gives me a kiss on the cheek as a hello and I gave one back to her too.
I see that she brought her best friend, Veronica, who I see still having dizziness here and there from last night.

Chuckling, I tell her, "Yo Vero, you lost fair and square to me. Now you owe me 20 bucks"

"Yeah yeah Jauregui, I'll get you the money tomorrow. But I could've sworn I won"

"No no no Vero, don't try to manipulate me with your lies, I won. Simple as that."

Vero gave a frown when she realized her lies didn't work.
Getting to our table, we see that we're some of the late ones to get there, but I'm sure Nick, Louis, Harry and Taylor didn't mind.
They weren't my best friends like Ally or Veronica nor Lucy, but they were close to me nonetheless.

"Guys, what took you so long?" Shawn asked

"I actually don't know why, I was talking to Vero so I followed Ally and Luce."

Didn't realize I zoned out then and I don't realize I'm zoning out right now.
I hear my name being called which brought me back and soon enough, me and my group started talking about some of the rumors in the school and whatnot.

After making some plans to go with Ally and Lucy to the park, I head back home and see my mom's car parked outside and my dads in the garage.

*Oh, great* I said sarcastically.

I went inside and wasn't surprised to see that their arguing... Again.
I try to sneak into my room not wanting to hear them and did successfully without them noticing.

Going in my room, I changed my shirt since it got dirty by Lucy accidentally dropping food on it.
After getting my shirt on, I hear some fast footsteps going up the stairs

*Here they both come bitching to me about something* I thought.

I prepared myself to have a whole yelling but instead my door flies open with my mom with tears in her eyes.

"Lauren pack your things, we're going to Florida"

"Wait what! why??"

"I can't handle this nor your father! I'm sick of him and our arguing! Just do what I'm telling you to do....please." My mother answers.

"Okay, just give me a second, I'll be down" I reply and she leaves me to pack. I assume to pack her own stuff.
Sitting back down, I think to myself how far Florida is. I'm from Ohio and I've always lived in Ohio, never went to another state.

While packing, I'm still thinking on how I'm gonna contact Ally and Lucy and everyone I know.
I hate this but I love it since I'm gonna be away from my father. He's the one who is always to blame for things. My mother just keeps up with it for the kids and argues to defend us.

After packing all my stuff and saying goodbyes to all my friends,I head to my car but not before I see Taylor in my mom's car and my mom getting in the driver's seat to go.
Everyone's stuff is in the back including Chris but not for me since I have my car and I will just follow them.

After a few days, we arrive in Miami Florida. Everything looks strange here but knowing this move is gonna be permanent, I'll have to deal with it and get used to it.

In the blink of an eye, I'm now registered onto a school named, 'Miami High'.

I wonder what this school has to offer.

OMG this was long and I didn't realize it was until I ended it
I'm sorry that Camila's part wasn't that long like Laurens.

I will be giving some backstory on Camila the next chapter, the next time that I post
