Hallways

When my school moved to a different area there were some electrical problems and most of the time the hallways were pitch black. I never liked walking in the halls alone ever when the lights were on so when the school was dark of course I got scared.

But there was this one time when I had to go to the office to get something for my teacher. And so far the lights had been out a good few weeks. So i got up out of my seat and out the door. Now sometimes these lights would flicker which made me feel like I was in a horror movie. Anyway I'm walking down the hall and I thought I heard footsteps behind me but of course when I looked back nothing was there. And I was certain that nobody was in the halls with me. So as an instinct I began to pick up my pace and I made it to the front no problem and even though theres no running in the halls I still ran once I was out of sight of the teachers in the front. But even now I can still remember hearing footsteps in that dark hall.
