Dad,
This is a belated "Father's Day" reflection. You're in another world with no calendar and maybe with a different calendar. So, this is ok, I hope. Have you met mom in that other world?
I do believe in spirituality. You might have moved on. I dreamed that you'd learned a second language. Hence, this is written in English. We never know what tomorrow will bring. And I never know what that other world has. Tell me more about it in my dreams.
Time flies. Every year when I celebrate my birthday, I remind myself that I'm getting closer to the age you died. I cherish every day as it unfolds. Siblings and family are bonded. And my friends are amazing not just in their gifts but in their thoughts and care. I know friends could come and go, but that shouldn't hold me back from befriending them. An economist once said, "not taking on an opportunity is a loss, but failure after an attempt isn't."
Well, too deep in thought of you, it is getting late; time to bed—a happy belated Father's Day.
