Broken wings
And a dream to fly
Do I still hope for them
Or do I let them die
I know it's not possible
Then why can't I let go
Why do I hold on so tight
Why can't I just push these thoughts
Down below
A crack in the surface
And the facade falls
I try to find a silver lining
I try to hear angel calls
But it's just a dream within a dream
So how do I stay silent when
When all my thoughts start to scream
I can't blame them
It's not their fault that I dream
Isn't it foolish of me instead?
Wasn't I aware of the future ahead?
I was... Yet...
Dreaming to fly with broken wings
Trying to break free of the fate strings..
I won't succeed it won't end well
my dreams shall bleed as I bid them farewell
