I open my eyes and I see we're back in the forest where the meteorite was. I look around and Colton isn't anywhere to be seen.

I panic and scream, "Colton! Where are you?".

Then my ears start picking something up, I hear something similar to someone pulling weeds. I start to fly towards the sound. As I get closer to the noise, I see Colton on a hillside. I see him lifting up his arms and I see giant roots coming out of the ground.

I yell, "Colton! What are you doing? Get away from there!"

He replies saying, "It's fine! I'm doing this!".

I reply, "You are?".

"Yep! Cool isn't it?" he replies.

"I can also do this!" he added.

Suddenly, a chunk of dirt was pulled out of the ground. Then, he raised his left arm and it started giving a red glow. Suddenly, a horde of animals start coming in our direction, once they get at least 3 feet away from Colton, they stop moving.

"Did you do all of that?" I asked.

"I know right?" he exclaimed excitingly.

"We better get back to your house, it's almost sunrise." I said.

"Okay. Wait, I want to try one of my other powers." he replies with a grin.

"Ok. If you want." I reply back.

Then, a huge gust of wind comes from all directions surrounding Colton. Once the dust settles, Colton is flying!

"I'm flying!" he yells in joy.

"Well, I guess that makes the both of us." I reply smiling.

I thought to myself, "Man, I miss the old days. Days when we would joke around, and play all day. No worries in our heads."

"Come one Jaden! Let's go already!" he yells.

"Alright, coming mother!" I jokingly yell back.

Both of us then take off to the skies. We soar high above the city. We make jokes and laugh. Soon, we start to approach his neighborhood. I get this odd feeling that something's wrong.

"Colton, stop." I tell him.

'Why? We're literally right above my house?" he asks.

I then test out another power of mine; X-Ray vision. I use it to look through the walls. I see to my surprise, his parents are on the floor knocked out.

"Colton! Something's wrong." I exclaim.

"What? What happened?" he screamed with panic.

"I'm going down there and make sure your parents are ok." I tell him.

Then, I swoop down towards his house, breaking through his ceiling. It doesn't even hurt. I turn around and Colton is following me.

"Colton! What are doing?" I whisper.

"Why are we whispering?" he asks.

"Because, the people who did this could be after YOU." I whisper back.

Both of us then land on the floor. I start to move towards the stairs and see a man dressed in a combat uniform. I ready myself to prepare whats next. My ears then pick up something, Colton is screaming, in pain. I then run using my super-speed and get to his basement. I see Colton being held by his throat. A man in a army uniform is grabbing MY best friend by the neck.

"Who are you? What do you want with him?" I yell angrily.

"My name is Sergeant. Phillip H. Adams. I am the leading commander of the S.H.I.R.S. Protection Unit." he replies with a Southern accent.

"And how is that related to him?" I exclaim.

"First of all, stop calling Colton him. I know who he is. Second, he is the perfect specimen for Dr. Brühneil." he replies.

"Specimen!" I shout angrily.

Suddenly my vision gets this orangish red tint to it. Next thing I now, I feel heat coming from my eyes. Then, my eyes go back to normal and I see Sr. Adams' leg is burned.

"You little dirtbag!" he yells!

He drops Colton and then reaches for what looks like a gun. He shouts it at me, and it does absolutely nothing. In response, I use my newfound Ultra Vision (it sounds cooler) on Sr.Adams. Colton wakes up and sees whats happening and raises his right arm and it gives off a orange glow. Suddenly, a bed of rock encases Sr. Adams.

"Colton? Are you ok?" I ask him.

"Yeah...I'm fine." he said while rubbing his forehead.

"We need to get out of here like pronto." I said.

"What about my parents?" Colton asks.

"Dude, I'm sorry, they're gone..." I said disappointedly.

"What?" he said as his eyes watered.

"I saw a hole right through their chests. Same size that Adams' gun shot was." I replied sadly.

"No, no, no!" he cried out.

Colton fell to his knees and started to cry. I knelt beside him, and I gripped his shoulder. He kept crying, now the only family he and I have, are each other.
