In the distance of an alley, a small blond boy where standing in the middle of the rain.

It was dark outside, and the alley made it even darker. The small stone wall having an small pipe running down. The water flooding out.

The poor blond boy hadn't move an inch. He was standing there, in the pouring rain.
His breaths quiet and slow.

He was holding some bags in his hands. They where full of food, heavy and his hands shaky.

If you looked closely at the boy's features, you could see his blue, dull eyes. That once in his life where full off hope. His blond hair, curly and knotty, dripping wet from the rain.

He had a sweater on and some short. His shoes worn out and his socks getting more wet the longer he stands there. Not a pleasant outfit in the rain, without a coat.

As a man walked up to the kid, the blond's breath hitched and he stopped breathing for a second, to scared to make any movements.

He straighten his posture and looked down at the ground submissively.

"Did you get the groceries?" The man asked. Demanding an answer.

"Yes, sir." The blond responded, careful with what he choose to say.

"Good," The man said pleased. "I'm sure you haven't moved. Right boy?" He said looking at the blond.

"I—I promise i haven't moved sir." The blond stuttered out. Cursing himself when he did.

He could feel his heart race and the bags getting a little more heavy. The rain feeling colder and the clothes feeling uncomfortably sticky to his skin.

"Really?" The man asked with a hint of annoyance.

"I promise i haven't!" The blond boy clarified.

And—and he hadn't moved! He had not moved an inch!
He had been standing here in the goddamn rain, making sure not to move even a small bit.

He is not going to make the same mistake like he did before. His not, not again.

"Walk." The man ordered as they made their way through the alley.
The blond hurried behind the older man, putting one foot in front of the other in sync with him.
Walking slightly behind him.

The alley was dark, but light enough to see where you put your feet.

"Hurry you brat." The man hissed towards the boy. The kid walking faster.

When they made it to the front of a small house, the adult opened the door and bent down.

A small little girl flew into the older's arms.
"Daddy!" The girl exclaimed happily. "What's for dinner?"

"You'll see sweetheart!" The man smiled, "Go play, and I'll be right there!"

"Okay!" She said happily, turning around and running into her room.

"You." The older man said standing up. "Get inside here!"

The blond boy quickly obeyed. Stepping inside and taking of his shoes quickly and smoothly.

"Make dinner. We will talk later." The man said, dismissing the blond.

The younger one quickly thanked him and went towards the kitchen.
He put the bags with the food in on the counter and begun to pack up the groceries.

As he finished, he took out the pan and started cutting some vegetables. Putting butter in the frying pan and made bread.

A burrito is good enough, right?
