Sweater weather

We had finished our food, the sun was fully set, So now we could only see the stars in the night sky. We were laying on the concrete on top of the roof, stargazing. It was a very pretty view. Just laying on our backs looking at the stars..
I felt a raindrop land on my forehead, And then a moment later a couple more raindrops landed on my forehead. I saw the dark rain clouds i and knew it was going to rain soon. "I should get going" I said.

I looked over at you, feeling some raindrops hit my wings and forehead. "Tired of me already?" I said with a smile and a sarcastic tone.
I hear you chuckle somewhat.

"No, definitely not, I just think I should get hom-.. shit." I said and sat up, I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and checked the time. "Shit" I said. Realizing that my roommate wouldn't be home from work until 10 o'clock. They were my ride home. 'Would I make it home in time before the rain stared?' I thought to myself.
"What's up? Something wrong?" Hawks asked.
"Yeah it's going to rain by the looks of it and I need to get home before it starts." I said and got up.

I got up, "hey, chill man. I can walk with you, I'm sure you'll have a couple minutes before the rain starts." I said. "I would offer to fly you there, but I think that's more of a second date thing" I said with a joking tone and a chuckle, trying to lighten the mood.

You were slightly stressed but as stupid as hawks remarks were, you couldn't help but smile somewhat. Even just a little bit. "No but seriously, it's a 40 minute walk back to my apartment. I don't want both of us getting soaked, I'll just walk."

I felt the rain drops on my wings and on my arms. "Well I hate to break it to ya, but.. you'd wouldn't make it home without getting soaked."
I said.

The rain quickly picked up, and soon turned into a down pour. The two quickly raced down the fire escape and into the alley way. Hawks was laughing as they both got soaking wet.

"Stop laughing asshole we are soaked cause of your bird brain!"
You say not actually meaning to be rude when you called him an 'asshole'. Just playfully messing with him.

I continue to laugh, my hair, and wings now soaking wet. I sigh as the laughing came to an end "ah, and people say autumn is the perfect sweater weather. If that were true then I hope sweaters come with a raincoat"

I slicked my hair back, and I couldn't even be annoyed that I got soaking wet, cause whenever I looked at the hero I got butterflies in my stomach. The way he looked when he was soaking wet was somehow attractive.. and also the way he smiled despite it being cold and wet and miserable out. "Yeah maybe a raincoat would've been nice if I wasn't already soaked." I said with a somewhat grumpy tone, though I was mostly just giving him a hard time for the fun of it. A playful teasing back and forth was always fun.

"Hey on the bright side this means I can make it up to you now" I said and smirked somewhat at you giving me a 'hard time' "hey let me tell you this, I have a place not to far from here. The big seller point is that it's dry and I have towels."

You raised an eyebrow at hawks. "Sounds nice, almost sounds like you wanna get laid." I said with a chuckle

"Nah, if I wanted to do that I wouldn't need the rain to ask you to my place." I said with a cocky smile. "Come on, it's not too far from here, and you can stay until you can get picked up or until the rain stops."

You chuckled and rolled your eyes. Someplace dry was better then out in the cold.. "fine, but only cause it's better inside somewhere then out here. No funny business buddy." I said and laughed a bit.
