This story is meant for enjoyment and can contain 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔 spoilers later on in the story.
The story mostly follows the plot, but I have added some scenes to add more character development.

This story does have:

-Gore (blood, broken bones, etc.)

-really really long slowburn

This is an Oc x Character story in which the Oc goes by the name of Sayaka Hikaru. feel free to insert yourself if you would like!

This story will be a really long slowburn since most of the Tanjiro fanfics goes by super fast, and I felt like it would be better to have the romance come super slow. Sorry.

Breathing Style:

𝘽𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙏𝙃 𝙊𝙁 𝙎𝘾𝘼𝙍𝙇𝙀𝙏
This breathing style is derived from flame and insect breathing. It mimics Scarlets (and mirrors for a few of them) as it reflects its movements, abilities, and techniques it involves beautiful, fast, and calming attacks. It enhances the uses offense, unhuman movements (like lightning speed), and flexibility.

The user uses dances for most of the forms but does need regular swordsmith skills for a few forms. The sword is a bit longer and sharper than a normal nichrin blade. It is said to be white fading into a scarlet red.

There is a total of nine forms for this breathing, but there is possibly a tenth form that has not been discovered... Yet...

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺 \\ Prance of Amber
The user leaps behind their opponent as they quickly make a total of 3 slashes towards their vital points.

𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺 \\ Sparks of Flames
The user evades an attack as they leap into the air, charging down towards the surface near their opponent, as they create triple slashes within their range.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺 \\ Drifting Flickers of Petals
The user runs towards their opponent before vanishing to the left using a wave of petals and Sparks to distract the opponent before creating two deep slices.

𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺 \\ Dance of the Raging Inferno
The user dashes towards their opponent as they twist their blade slightly before sliding to the opposite of the opponent; creating several circular slashes before making a quick slash downwards.

𝗙𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺 \\ Prance of Dust

The user run towards their opponent as they change the movement of their footwork, to be able to outrun their opponent, catching them off guard many times, as they make powerful Cresent like slashes towards their opponents vital points before sending a large slash

𝗦𝗶𝘅𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺 \\ Blaze of Corolla
The user dashes back as they twist their blade quickly; creating several circular slashes.
The user then makes a quick vertical slash downwards.

𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺 \\ Prance of Flickering Light
The user leaps forward above ground as they make a 360 turn to deliver a horizontal slash, then turn again near the left or right to release four consecutive attacks downards.

𝗘𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺 \\ Exploding Carmime
The user rushes forward as they deliver a single horizontal slash, creating small Sparks of exploding red petals. The user then dashes backward as they slash 14 times- creating multiple Cresent moon attacks several feet ahead of them. Backing away not to get hit.

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺 \\ Flaming Petals of White Purity
The user dashes forward as they twist their blade lightly, forming red tinted echos every direction they go. The user then appears behind their opponent as they make a diagonal arching slash.

(It's basically keqings burst, but it's red instead of purple, SHOWN BELOW)

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Sayaka Hikaru is around 5'5, a bit shorter than Tanjiro. She has a slim figure. She has long bleach blonde wavy hair that goes about to her waist. She has icey blue eyes with a mix of green in them. She wears the normal demon slayer uniform except the sleeves are rolled up to her elbows, and underneath is a skin-tight arm sock that reaches to the base of her knuckles Her haroi starts a bright red at the top and ends in a deep red with white and golden and bright red outlines of waves that resemble fire, roses are scattered in the waves as well. Her nichrin sword is a white that fades into a deep red. She has a scar on the left side of her temple that reaches to her eyebrow. It's not as noticeable from far away. Some of her fingers have deep scars due to intense training.

She's easy going, and is sarcastic at times. she has a dry sense of humor, and she jokes around with people she loves to be around with, in which she shows more emotion with them.

(Her background will be explained at the beginning of the story, and flashbacks will occur at times)
