Okay okay before the chapter, I need to say a few things. I know everyone thinks that Joong-Gil is rude and heartless, but in MY interpretation, that only happens when it comes to the RM team, and especially Koo Ryeon.
In some eps of the drama we can see a slightly more polite, friendly and even gentle side of him. So, with that I interpreted that in certain situations he would act with sympathy, politeness and kindness. Another point I wanted to mention is that as a woman, I believe that what Si-eun went through was kind of traumatic, so I decided to make this chapter a lot lighter. And even in the next few chapters she's going to behave in a certain way because of what she's been through, because I think violence against women is a delicate thing, and even in the context of the previous chapter, where she was dealing with a criminal, in In my opinion, because she had never experienced anything like this, it affected her, as it would many women.

When he saw that Si-eun was injured, he felt a rage spread through his body.
He didn't know why, but it bothered him to see her in that state.

So when she asked if she could leave with him, Joong-Gil agreed.

It had been a premeditated decision, but he simply didn't think it was right to leave her there. Not in the state she was in.

As they arrived in his office, he noticed the surprised look on her face.

She was probably expecting to be transported to Jumadeung's hall. And he thought about doing that, but Joong-Gil noticed the way she acted when she realized that he had seen her bruises.

With that, he assumed that showing up in that state in the midst of hundreds of reapers would not be the best thing.
Releasing her hand, he ignored the part of him that missed the contact.

Joong-Gil eyed her for a moment.
She didn't look well.

- Wait here. - he said, and left the office before she could answer.

Finding one of the reapers who was from the escort team, he approached her.

- Mr. Park. - she greeted him, bowing slightly.

He imitated her.

- I need you to do me a favor.

The woman looked at him curiously, nodding.

- Go to the land of the living and get some antiseptics, bandages, and anything else that can be used to treat wounds.

Blinking, she looked at him in surprise, but did not question him.

Bowing, the reaper teleported away.

He didn't know why he was doing this. Maybe, deep down, he knew. However, it was better to ignore it.

That was just the right thing to do, since she was human she needed to treat her injuries. And she was probably too tired to go to the world of the living alone.

Yes, he was just doing the right thing.

There was no other reason for his actions.

When the reaper returned with everything he had asked for, Joong-Gil thanked her, and returned to the office.

As he entered the room, he stopped. She was sleeping on the sofa, motionless.

Joong-Gil approached slowly, observing the soft expression Si-eun had on her face.

Seeing her bruises up close, he could not contain his irritation.

How dare that human do that.
It was unacceptable.
