Author POV:

Norman spoke up.

"Ray..."

"What?"

"I'm sorry, I was mad and angry and upset that nothing like that came to mind"

"That you know we won't last forever"

"There is always a possibility, but I wouldn't count in it"

"Norman, I want to think we will atleast last sometime. Not forever but just sometime enough to say I would marry you"

"Y-you've thought of that?"

"Yes Norman, I have. I have thought of what my future would be like with you, versus with any other girl and I can't imagine it. Just you"

"..."

"And I never got the happy childhood people say I deserve. I wasn't always an orphan..."

"You weren't?"

"Whatever, I'll explain later. Let's just go"

Ray wiped his now teary eyes and started the engine Norman was hesitant but closed the door buckling himself in before Ray drove off. Ray drove to a Coles and Norman entered buying a pregnancy test at a self check out the exited quickly getting back on the car.

"..so can you explain what you ment earlier..?"

"..."

"Ray..?"

Ray suddenly turned the car onto a different street.

"W-where are we going..?"

Norman was a bit scared, seeing he has yet to seen this side of Ray. Ray drove off rode up a mountain let lead to a one car size dirt trail. That he drove up.

"Ray! Where the fuck are we going!?"

Norman asked scared for his life seeing Ray was driving on the edge of the trail, leading an extremely step mountain side going down and he was driving extremely fast. Ray got to the top of the mountain which lead to the edge of cliff. He stopped the car getting out angrily. Norman quickly got out hoping that Ray wasn't going to do what he thought he was.

Ray stopped at the edge, toes just over the edge and he screamed on the top of his lungs. Norman stood a bit behind him.

"...Ray...?"

Ray turned and walked toward him. He kissed his lips but Norman pushed him away. Ray turned around and screamed on the top of his lungs. But this didn't sound like before. It sounded as if a girl screamed because she was being murdered.

Norman held tears that threatened to spill his eyes.

"...Ray..?"

Ray didn't turn around but instead fell to his knees scrunching his hair in his fists. Norman ran over squatting down next to him.

"Ray? Please tell me what's going on. I need to know..."

Ray tried to calm down but he choked on his own tears.

"I- I- he- orph- there-"

"Ray! It's me. It's Norman. I'm right here okay? Just me. I'm right here. Please. Tell me. I need to know, so I can help you... Okay? Tell me what's wrong."

Ray finally stopped choking.

"Orphan care takers aren't allowed to be mothers. So usually women who can't get pregnant work there. My mother was one of those women but when a man went there to find a kid to adopt he ended up raping my mother. She wasn't so worried till the signs appeared. She took a test and fell pregnant with me."
