*Three Days Prior*

"Ian!? Where are you?" I yelled, just entering the house after a long stressful day of work, stepping yet almost falling over a pair of dark boots.

"Ian! What did I tell you about leaving your shoes in front of the door?!"

While stepping over the shoes and closing the door behind me, I hear a loud crash coming from the bedroom.

"Ian?" I rushed into the bedroom, hoping there were no accidents caused by the crash.

"Is everything ok?" I projected my voice so he can be able to hear it.

I reach the room, standing in between the door frame, and notice a broken glass cup spread out in front of the door. Shards were everywhere, covering the entrance of the room. Which seemed to have been previously filled with liquor. The liquor stained the wall a shade darker than the original light tan color. In front of me was a rolling chair, placed in a dark, cluttered, eerie room. Surrounding the room was an intense smell of not only hard liquor but as if something had died in there. In the chair, was my husband. The blinds cracked open to where the light slightly beams in where it covers small spots of the room. Slightly capturing the side of his face, but he remains in the dark.

"Have you been drinking again?"

"You... it's always nagging, complaining, having that huge stick up your ass every second!" He yelled as he downed a bottle of alcohol.

"You're drunk... put that down and let-"

"You don't tell me what to do!" He yelled, standing up and beginning to approach me. Tossing the half-empty bottle straight towards me, just barely missing.

Out of fear, I start to back up. But without any luck, I hit a wall behind me. Not being able to move as far as I would like, but only three steps behind. He continues to yell, while his body language gets more aggressive. He gets closer, to the point where there's no room to escape.

"You're useless and worthless, you'll never succeed in anything you do with all of that nagging." He continues, as he throws more insults at me and denigrates me.

"Ian"  I stated calmly, trying not to irritate him any longer. "I just asked why were your shoes placed in front of the door. I almost fell."

He went silent, and start to break down.

"Im sorry. Im so sorry Isabella. I didn't mean to lash out at you." He cried, wrapping his arms around my waist, leaning his head against my shoulder. "Please, forgive me." His voice breaks

"It's ok." I softly spoke. My body shaking out of fear, I raised my left hand and gently placed it on the back of his neck.

Moments later, he sits himself up and proceeds to walk back into the room. As he makes it inside, he opens a cabinet from the far left side of the room and grabs yet another bottle of alcohol.

"Ian, no stop, you just said you'll stop." I argued, walking towards him, trying to stop him from spirling out of control again.

I grab the neck of the bottle and place it back into the cabinet. Seconds later, my sights went dark. I woke up, in the middle of the floor with no one left in the room. I was left alone, not knowing what happened. It all went by so fast. Unaware of how long I was out, I woke up with a massive headache, a lump on my head, and blood flowing down the top left side of my face, blinding half of my vision.

Trying to collect myself, I attempt to pull off of the ground. Grabbing the handles of the dresser but failing multiple times. Falling over due to the lack of vision and the room spinning. My breathing gets heavy, possibly due to the fact that I started to hyperventilate or I somehow forgot the basic steps to living.
