Okay moms, first thing I want to say is be true to yourself. Never let go of who you are. Your dreams, your goals, your career, your friends. It's okay to change but keep them in your sight.
Those are the things that make you unique. Every person has gifts to offer. Each one of us are gifted with unique talents, some of us give those away, and settle for the crumbs from the dreams of our spouses and children.
Please remember you are a person whose life matters too. How would you feel if you looked into the eyes of your little girl and told her when she meets a boy or has a family , all those things that make her so happy now, will have to be replaced with laundry, dishes, chores and driving people around. These things will not leave her fulfilled. Neither will becoming an object or tool for her families use.
That is what you're doing when you fail to remain an individual, and we fail to show our daughters how to be happy with themselves.
Take time for hobbies, are you an artist or writer or musician? There are many hobbies that bring people an amount of peace, and are therapeutic.
For example, I like to dabble in modeling, acting and writing.
