Akaashi's POV

I was frozen into my place. I couldn't move my legs and I didn't want to talk in fear of messing up like usual.

"What are you doing here?" the stranger asked tilting his head.

"Ehh? You know Akaashi, Bokuto?" Kuroo confusingly asked the stranger.

Bokuto? Is that his name? You'd think after all this time I'd find out his name through him himself.

"Ahh, yes! I met him in Kaori's party. Are you guys friends?" The stranger now identified as Bokuto answered.

Kuroo nodded. "He's originally Kenma's friend and we became friends through him."

"Ohh! How do you know each other, Kenma?" Bokuto curiously asked again. It seems like he can't stop being so curious.

"We went to high school together," Kenma explained. "And we're going to be business partners soon."

"He's a gamer?" Hinata asked scratching his head. Well, isn't everyone here so nosey.

"Occasionally. But as a living, no. He's a manga artist. Famous too," Kaori answered for me and Kenma.

"Well, what an interesting meet up. We met him a few weeks ago. But he suddenly disappeared," Miya teased amd looked at me.

I wanted to get eaten by the floor now. I don't like this much attention towards me. I could've literally just stayed home and ate warm soba while watching Stranger Things. Why do I always have to make my life so difficult?

Without looking at him, I apologized. "I'm...sorry for last time...I had an...e-emergency."

"Don't make him uncomfortable, Atsumu," Kuroo interruptted. "Akaashi's shy and uncomfortable with strangers."

You're not doing any better in making me feel better, Kuroo.

Miya raised an eyebrow but Sakusa smacked his back.

"Omi?! You actually touched me!" Miya shocked, stated which left me confused. What's so weird about that?

"Stop your shenanigans. We have a game in less than 15 minutes. Let's go." Sakusa left the area and Miya followed him teasing him to no ends.

"I'm sorry about this," Bokuto nervously scratched his neck, sulking a bit. "You must be so uncomfortable with all the noise. Don't worry. I'll scold them."

"It's alright...I guess. It's not their fault. Besides, at least now I know your name." Okay that last sentence wasn't meant to be said. Shit.

Bokuto raised his head to look at me. "Ohh. That's right! I always end up being cut off when I try to introduce myself. I kinda wanted to properly introduce myself though..."

I felt butterflies swim around my stomach when he said his last sentence but I shaked it off not liking the unusual feeling.

"That's fine. Your name?" I mumbled.

He grinned at me then placed a hand on my shoulder. "Bokuto! Bokuto Kotaro!"

...

After Bokuto finally managed to introduce himself to me properly, he and Hinata went straight to the court and we were left to go to the stands to watch the game.

Kenma bought us hotdogs and drinks and offered to buy me more as an apology from his tardiness from last time.

"It's alright. I'll just have a hotdog," I protested.
