Hi people! This chapter is focusing on what sougo saw the night of the attack. I would write more but I don't really know how to continue this story. I'm not stopping this story though, I just need suggestions on where this is going. thanks again!(^∇^)

11:20 PM

The night was warm and humid, giving the sandy haired police officer a headache while on his nightly patrols. The full moon lit the empty streets he guarded. The police officer suddenly halted in his tracks when he came across a peculiar abandoned building.

Out of curiosity, he cautiously crept up to the back of the building, and peered into one of the broken windows. inside was a familiar looking young man, whose back facing the police officer, had firery red hair in a long braid. next to the braided man was a taller man with messy brown hair.

"Captain, are you sure that bringing her with us is such a good idea?" The taller one said, "she could run off and warn them before we even get there! Our whole plan would be ruined."

"I haven't told her where or what the job was going to be." the red haired man spoke calmly, "and she won't tell anyone about her encounter with me, I already took care of that."

The taller man scratched the back of his head, deciding if it was even worth arguing about.

"If you say so, captain."

With that, the taller man walked out of the room leaving the braided man standing alone. Sougo started to back away from the window, but then he saw the braided man take out a cell phone/walkie talkie/ device thingy.

"Everything is going according to plan." the man said into the cell phone/walkie talkie/ device thingy. "By the end of the month, she will be completely under our spell."

'Who is he talking about?" Sougo wondered. 'What is he planning?'

Suddenly, Sougo felt something strange about the man in the building. some sort of... familiarity. 'No,' Sougo thought, 'I've never seen this guy before, but why does he remind me of something?'

His thoughts we interrupted by the sound of footsteps entering the room. A young man entered, and walked towards the captain.

"Captain, she has arrived." the red haired man looked up at the door, muttered something that Sougo could not hear, and left the room.

Who was this person that had arrived? What were they talking about? A million questions filled Sougo 's mind, and all of the would remain in answered. Unless, of course, he investigated some more.

Now he was carefully making his way around the building, and peeking into another broken window. Inside he saw about 20-30 men all crowding around something. Because of the giant crowd, Sougo could not see what they were so fascinated with, but the curiosity was stabbing him in the balls, so he decided to find a different window with a hopefully better view.

Time had passed, and Sougo had yet to see what was in the middle of the croud. He had tried many windows, but none of the showed what he wanted to see. He couldn't hear what was going on either, and that just pissed him off even more. He crawled up to the last window that he had not seen yet, and just as he had, five or so of the men jumped out of the crowd and up the decaying stairs to the roof top. But he saw one thing that was strange. Very strange indeed.

He saw a purple umbrella

Again, a million thoughts rushed through his head, creating a battlefield of conflicting thoughts. Logic won, because of course she wouldn't be here. After all, he hadn't seen her face, so there was no way to know if it was her or not. Not that he even thought that it was, cause he knew it wasn't.

Right?

Before he even realized, he was running to the yorozuya. If he could just check, make sure she was there, safe and sound and not hanging out with a bunch of creepy guys, then he would be fine. He would stop snooping around this weird group of guys who like to hang out at rotting buildings, and he would lift the feeling of his heart sinking into the bottom of his chest.

His feet slammed on the dirt road as he headed towards his destination. He had only been on his journey for a few minutes before he heard a loud bang.

Jk you thought the chapter was over. It's not. Just felt like trolling y'all

Anywho

He stopped in his tracks and slowly turned to the source of the sound, which was a building not to far from him. He hurried towards it, fearing that people were hurt.

He arrived at the now on fire building, and as he got closer, the sounds of screaming and katanas clashing became louder. He ripped his walkie talkie from his pocket, and reported the incident to the rest of the shinsengumi.
Then something caught his eye from above him. The same five or
So people that he saw leave the abandoned building earlier were fleeing the scene, covered in blood.

And of the few men jumping away from the scene by rooftop, there was one thing that stood out to him.

A purple umbrella.

Again, he didn't see the purple umbrella's owner's face, but he did see the face of the young man next to her.it was the man who Sougo thought was familiar, and the braided man must have thought as him as familiar too.
As the criminals fled, the braided man look down at Sougo.

He was smiling with a smile filled with bloodlust and deep blue eyes filled with a strange look of satisfaction.

I KNOW IM AN ASSHOLE. Seriously I am so so so sorry for not updating this. I have no excuse. I feel terrible. Did I mention that I'm sorry?
