"Kara?" Alex and Lena said in sync.

Kara's eyelids were heavy, but she opened them just enough to see Lena and Alex staring back at her.

"Hey babe." Lena softly whispered, while putting a hand on Kara's shoulder.

"Lena? Alex?" Kara quietly asked, closing her eyes with a pained expression and a shaky exhale.

"Kara, are you okay?" Alex asked concerned.

"No." Kara barely got out before she started silently sobbing.

"Woah Kara, what's wrong? Alex, do something!"

"Kara, nod if I'm correct, are your wounds hurting?" She nods, "Shit. Kara, I'm going to give you a sedative, I promise you'll feel better next time you wake up." Alex quickly made her way to the cabinet and prepared said sedative.

As soon as she's injected, Lena presses a soft kiss to Kara's forehead as she falls back asleep.

After a moment, Lena takes a deep breathe and stands up straight, "What the fuck Alex."

"I'm making her Morphine dose higher on her drip, usually that would have been enough to significantly reduce the pain of a normal person-"

"She's not a normal person, Alex, she's a fucking alien." Lena turned around and stared Alex straight in the eyes.

"Lena I need you to calm down-"

"NO! I'm not just going to 'calm down' after I just witnessed my girlfriend wake up in that much pain!"

"Lena I think your forgetting that she's my fucking sister. I'm holding on by just a thread right now." Alex takes a step towards Lena, "I am currently helping the doctors because I'm the only one here that knows the most about Kryptonians, besides my mom, which is apparently still not enough, and I'm also trying to trace down your Mom and that fucking Cyborg." She exhales, "So if you would just cut me some slack, I would really appreciate that."

Alex made her way to the door, paused before she opened it and said, "If you want to help, stay with Kara and let someone know if anything changes."

Lena watched Alex as she opened the door and slammed it shut, leaving Lena stunned by what just happened. She felt bad for how she treated Alex just now, but she wants nothing more than to see Kara back to her normal self. Part of her also wanted to run after Alex and apologize, knowing that it really wasn't her fault, but the other part of her wanted to stay with Kara so she wasn't alone, so she let her go.

Lena sat down in a chair close to Kara's bed, buried her face in her hands and sighed heavily. Then she heard an open and close of the med bay door.

Lena looked up, she immediately recognized the women that walked in the room, "Dr.Danvers!" Lena stood up.

"Please Lena, call me Eliza, we are on a first name basis now, remember?" Eliza said with a soft smile.

"Of course Eliza, my apologies."

"How is she?" Eliza asked as her face changed into more of a concerned look as she approached Kara on the bed.

"I wish she was doing better. She woke up not too long ago. But she was in so much pain Eliza, to the point where she could barely speak. Alex had to sedate her," Lena took a breathe, "Apparently, no one thought to give her a higher dose of Morphine, so they gave her a 'normal' amount for a regular person."

Eliza could sense the tension between Alex and Lena. "Well that's an honest mistake, but I'm sorry you had to deal with that. I can assure you Lena, she's going to be okay now." Eliza walked up to Lena and pulled her into a hug. "She's lucky to have you."
