I pulled up to the local Starbucks to grab something before I started my busy day. It was packed but not as bad as it usually be. Me & Jade are in a really good place & I love it , although the last couple of days been off I feel. She been coming home late , drunk & out of her mind. I understand though because this is around the time her dad died , shes taking it really hard so I just be patient & support her. Its all I really can do.
" Excuse me, you look familiar. Do I know you? " Someone ask breaking me away from my thoughts
I looked up to Miracle Sims , my BestFriend from middle school. She looked fine as hell im not going to lie. We got split up from each other when she moved! I remember crying my eyes out when she left because she was the only one that understood my middle school brain.
" Miracle? Its Chanel from Brown middle school.! " I say smiling
" Omg its been so long, I knew you looked so familiar. I never forgot about you after all those years. " she said hugging me & I immediately melted into her arms. It felt so good to rekindle a relationship with someone you were so close with at one point!
" Yes! Do you have a minute? I would love to catch up. " I say checking the time
" I have nothing planned so sure. I will find us a table " she says
I place my order & wait , meanwhile I text jade to let her know I wouldn't be home right away.
Me: " Hey baby, I saw my old BestFriend from middle school & we are catching up atm. Im not gonna be home for another 20-25 mins. "
My girl <3 : " Okay I understand. Just please come home after, I miss you & I cant sleep "
Me: " I will I promise. Get up & cook you something to eat. I miss & love you. "
" So hows life? " I ask Miracle sitting down at the table
" Well life is good! Staying busy! finally bought the apartments I wanted here , School is surprisingly good. I can't complain! What about you? " she ask
" Well I do hair , nails & im a bottle girl! Also going to school to be a lab tech , but I mostly spend tine with gang nem & my girl. Making money & staying out the way is all I do " I say being honest
" Girl!? I know not , I thought you and Jordan would be together forever. But I see you have came over to this side. I gotta come to your club & see you one night girl " she says
" Yeah , Jordan & I were very toxic so i'm glad we got away from each other. & I actually work tonight so come out love. But how you been? " I say
" Well I'm currently playing ball in college & working at this warehouse job from time to time. Mostly don't even do anything but stay in my apartment & binge shows besides when im on the road. Life is so boring for me unlike yours I see. " She says
" My life has just been full of twists & turns! Haven't been a easy ride at all. You should really hang out with me & my friends sometimes. Come to the club tonight! We'll for sure turn you up " I say laughing
" Alright ma , what time? & give me yo number asap" she says
" Around 11 & give me your phone dummy " I say putting my number in her phone getting up from the table.
" See you later Nu " she says smiling as I waved back at her.
I head home to my lady , missing our bed & her body. Well my bed but you get it.
I call Rich to catch him up about what just happened.
Me: Pookie , guess who I just saw???
Rich: Who? That bitch semaj?
Me: Rich idgaf about your hoes to learn they names forreal but no, I saw miracle sims. Remember her from 6th grade?
Rich: Shawt that you was madly inlove with?
Me: We were just best friends asshole
Rich: yeah anyways what about her
Me: I invited her out tonight with us & i just wanted to make sure it was okay
Rich: Its cool ofc , just tell her find me when She make it in
Me: Okay , I will. Ima call you before I leave for work
Rich: Okay nu , bye
I pull up to the house and hurry in because I miss Jay even though I havent been gone long. I see her laying on the couch watching The real housewives of Atlanta.
" So tell me about it " she says as she gives me a kiss when I walk in
" So its this girl named Miracle I used to be friends with & we just caught up with eachother and I invited her to the club tonight. Nothing crazy " I say
" Thats cool , but why you inviting her out ? " She asked
" I was just being polite thats all. Are you jealous? " I say
" Jealous?? Yes! the prettiest girl in the world has given me a chance & I dont anyone else even around her " She says scrunching her face up
" I'm all you , I only see you ! Plus I told her I had a girlfriend " I said
" Girlfriend? We using the G word now ? " she said surprised
" Well I didn't know what to say! We are more than friends " I say
" Of course we areee , I just dont wanna jump the gun on everything and take it all slow. Thats all Nu " She said wrapping her arms around my waist
" I understand I understand " I say smiling , just happy to be in her presence
" I'm going back home todayyy " She says
" What you meann? I thought we had an agreement melissa ? " I say
" I know but I thought about it and we just need to take things slower! Thats all " She says
" Okay well lets talk about taking things slower. You just sugarcoating shit and being nice about it. If theres a actual problem at hand lets talk " I say
" Im just thinking we need to ease into things. I want shit to actually last with you. Im not tryna distance myself or anything but I just want me & you to get somewhere. Please understand . " she says
" I understand Jade , Thankyou for talking to me about it. I'll drive you back home when you get straight " I say kissing her cheek
" Your mad aren't you? " she says
" No of course not. Seriously , its your choice and not mine. Ima do my hair before I take you if thats okay?" I say
She nodded and I went upstairs to the bathroom
I locked the door & sat there until tears came out. I knew they were coming. Its just I'm used to people distancing themselves from me when I actually start caring & putting in effort. It tends to make me feel like my all is too much. But I dont know , I'll have to suck it up & just relax.
I wash my face & moisturized it. I fixed my edges and lace since it was under a hat for the past 2 days. I play some music & vibe out , in my own zone.
Heard a knock on the door & I cut my music down.
" come in " I say
" I haven't been completely honest " She says
