Chapter location/setting: abandoned beach house somewhere on the West Coast of USA, idk I am not american

We been following the West Coast for hours, it's almost dusk now. We don't even know where we're even going. I'd be grateful if the saltwater was drinkable but unfortunately we don't really have the means to boil it.

"Noel, can we take stop for the night? My legs feel like they're going to collapse." I puffed through my breath, I really need to work on my cardio.

"You want me to carry you?"

"Sure"

"I am kidding, you're heavier than a damn whale." He jabbed a playful remark. I casted 'Magic Hand' above my head, flipping him off.

"Alright, lwe can stay on that house up ahead. it's getting dark anyways-... Hah, funny." He said as he turned his head to me with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

The beach house is, of course, pretty run down after years of neglect but it's better than sleeping outside in the cold. It had an empty pool on the front of the beach house and there were chairs and umbrellas along the shores, I'd have assumed it could had been a beach resort if the area had two or three buildings. I took a small glance at the sea. A nice, short dip in the water would be great awhile Y/N rest up, most aquatic GTs don't really need to live in water to stay alive. it's more being a psychological preference to stay near large bodies of water. I'd occasionally take a swim if we find a lake on our travels but nothing beats swimming in the open ocean. It's abundant with a diversity of fishes and other sea critters, they're... Somewhat edible if we cook them on an open fire with salt, can't really get too picky with what we eat.

We checked the house so we wouldn't get caught off guard by any unexpected residents. Once we were completely sure that the house and the surrounding areas was safe, we cleaned up a room near the beach house's entrance to sleep, obviously, and lit a fire in a convenient fire pit that was near the sandy beach. We found some pots we can use to evaporate or distill water, a blue floral shirt I can use to replace my dirty, torned T-shirt and found a few bottle of booze that were surprisingly still good.

"Hey, I am going to catch some fish for dinner. Can you heat up saltwater and extract some salt?"

"Sure, just don't try to feed me pufferfish again" I said as I blep my tongue at him.

"It was ONE time, Y/N. ONE time. Can we please forget about that memory." He muttered.
