I hear a beeping sound and small voices. Where am I? No

answer. Where am I? Still no answer. The thought of being alone

right now is unsettling. I start to toss and turn. The beeping sound
seems faster than before. "Emily!! Guys, I think she's awake!!" I

hear a voice say. I feel people sit on the side of the bed and touch

my arm. I slowly open my eyes to find Uncle Zeke, Aunt Kim, and
Rachel at my side. Where am I? I ask once more. No answer.

Please, answer me!!! "What's happening? She seems

uncomfortable." Rachel says. A small woman walks in with a

folder. "I have her results. She is going to be okay. She is still in

shock with a small concussion, and it may take some time for her

to speak." "Thank you." Aunt Kim said. Oh, I'm in a hospital. But

why? What happened to me and why can't I get myself to speak?

Then I saw it, he looked at me. I fell from the tree and I

remember the pain once more. I become weak. I don't want to go
back, I might die the next time I get a paper cut. "Emy, what

happened? What did you see?" Rachel asked like she just read my mind.

I was released from the hospital the next day. I was still terrified,

terrified to even stand. I sat on the couch while every now and

then, someone would sit next to me and try to get me to speak. I

probably could if I wanted to, but I didn't. I felt like no one would
understand what had happened. "Hey, Emy. I was just checking

on you. If you need anything I will be outside getting a tan."

Rachel said, getting up to go outside. With all the strength I had

within myself, I grabbed her wrist. "Don't." I said. Rachel was

surprised to finally hear me say something but her facial

expression was worried. "Don't go." "Emy, what happened out

there?" She asked concerned. "Nothing, just don't go. It's not

worth it." I reply with frustration. She layed next to me and sobbed.

"Look, I fell from the tree because I became weak. I saw a man

who I think threatened Zeke, so it scared me enough to cause me

to fall." I explained trying to make sense. Rachel sat up in shock.

"No way. This is crazy. I'm calling Mom." "No. Please, I don't want
to leave yet." I say knowing that I sounded stupid. She gave me a

confused look. "I'm sorry, you Don't want to leave?" She asked.

"Somethings not right in that house, and I intend to find out

what." I requested. "Are you out of your freakin mind?!? No, I'm

calling Mom." She grabbed her phone. Rachel put the phone on

speaker. The call went straight to voice mail. "Uhhh, I'm calling

Dad since Mom turned her phone off!!" Rachel said in anger.

Once again, the call was sent to voice mail. "Fine. You know

what? I will just call their hotel." Rachel said attempting to be

calm. "Hi, how may I help you?" A voice answered from the other

line. "Yeah, I was wondering if you could forward my call to a

couple that is staying at your hotel?" "Sure!! What's the last

name?" "Gilbert, John and Stacey Gilbert" Rachel answered with

hope. "Okay, give me one second..... Um, I'm sorry but I have no

names with Gilbert in the system. Are you sure you called the

right hotel?" "Yes, they said they were staying there." "I will let

you know if they check in anytime soon and if I run across the

name. Again, sorry about that. Have a good rest of your day."

Rachel put her phone in her pocket and looked over at me. "I

think we have a problem. "
